First Tourney - [Lower:R2B2] Sei vs Megumi

Description: Seishirou hasn't set foot near the merry-go-round since. (Winner: Megumi)

Dream Amusement Park
Fun for the entire family, provided you can tolerate the endless droning
of organ music. A popular attraction for the city, the Dream Amusement Park
embodies the typical vision of such a place. Roller coasters and ferris
wheels along with men dressed up in elaborate cartoon-character costumes
compete for the attention of visitors with souvenir peddlers and the beach,
which is towards the north, where a lengthy boardwalk stretches all the way
out onto the picturesque Sound Beach.

Well, the area that's been more or less cleared of innocent bystanders was
more or less in the center of the Amusement Park. Seishirou had made his way
here around half an hour ago, and was sitting at a nearby snack stand. He
was waiting and observing the area from just past the merry go round, closer
to the area than he currently was. Despite all the glitz and crowding of the
area, Seishirou was noting that, after his previous fights, people did not
have a problem spotting him. Not that he honestly cared. But it was faintly
annoying.

Megumi isn't quite that early. She shows up pretty much on time, but not
early by more than a minute or two, depending on whose watch you check. She
takes the time to scope out various rides, booths, and so forth as she
approaches the snack stand Seishirou is at, but most of her attention goes
to him. "You're the only one nearby...are you him? The one I'm supposed to
have a match with?" It's voiced as a genuine inquiry, no veiled insult or
disbelief.

He was probably the only one who'd sit at a snack stand and not -buy-
anything. Probably to the attendant's ire. Fighting on a full stomach wasn't
the best way to win, he found. But when the pink-haired girl approaches him,
Seishirou takes a moment to look her over briefly. When she addresses him,
he squints. "..... Megumi, I'm guessing.." he says, more to himself than her
as he stands up, taking up his backpack, which was sitting next to him, as
he does so. "If you're here for the tournament, yes I am," he confirms. "You
appear to be on time.... are you ready?" His own voice is neutral. As if he
hasn't decided what to think, yet.

Megumi gives a once-over glance to the backpack, then takes a few steps
backwards from Seishirou. "As much as I'll be, I suppose. Good, clean match,
right? Just so long as you don't hold back on my account..." A final look
around, "Yeah, I think I'm ready."

His backpack was blue and seemed to have a lot of zipped pockets on it, but
it was otherwise normal. Slinging it over his shoulder, Seishirou offered
nothing but a painfully deadpan expression. Walking by Megumi with a cold
motion, Seishirou's voice is very flat when he says, "Don't worry about
that.." Where Seishirou comes from, even females were dangerous. He'd be
foolish to hold back simply because of that. Moving over to the main
grounds, he looks over his shoulder. "If you're ready.. come." He doesn't
seem to respond to the concept of a 'clean' fight, but he does appear to be
giving Megumi due warning and time to start her attack which is nonetheless
saying something.

COMBATSYS: Megumi has started a fight here.
COMBATSYS: Seishirou has joined the fight here.

Megumi           0/-------/-------|-------\-------\0        Seishirou

Megumi waits for Seishirou to finish with his backpack adjusting, and makes
a nod towards one of the cameras, perhaps to signify 'ready' to the various
officials for a match like this. Since Seishirou seems to be done preparing,
she runs in towards him and then rolls along the ground, rising back to her
feet in one smooth motion as she grabs at one of Seishirou's arms. If this
grapple works, she'll then pivot sideways and toss Seishirou off to the
side, over one knee. A very traditional technique, despite an odd approach
for starting it.

COMBATSYS: Seishirou dodges Megumi's Aikido Techniques.

[\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\  < >  //////////////////////////////]
Megumi           0/-------/-------|-------\-------\0        Seishirou

He doesn't bother with the camera. He tends to have a hard time not putting
tape over it, so that's the best he'll be able to manage for it. As Megumi
runs in towards him, Seishirou turns halfways towards her and slips his free
arm through one of his backpack's loops calmly. When she breaks out into her
roll, Seishirou watches her closely, not recognizing the move yet, but
slipping his other hand through his backpack. Then she pops up right next to
him and there is an instant in which Seishirou is watching Megumi's entire
body for hidden motions. When she makes the grab, Seishirou recognizes it.
And then his arm is not there. Turning sideways on a grinding heel in the
dust, he'll then try for a grab on Megumi's shoulder--from her side and a
touch behind her. At that point he'll try and replant his feet, pull her
forward, and knee-strike her in the side with his leading leg. He says
nothing.

COMBATSYS: Megumi counters Medium Kick from Seishirou with Flood Reversal.

[\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\  < >  //////////////////////////    ]
Megumi           0/-------/-------|=------\-------\0        Seishirou

Megumi would seem to have quick hands. When she fails to grab Seishirou, she
takes a step back in anticipation of a counter-attack from him, and is
rewarded with watching him turn. It's very precise timing, but she lashes
her hands out to wrap around the ankle and shin of Seishirou's kicking leg.
With a spin, she flings him off towards the merry-go-round, likely to impact
with one of the horses. Horsii? Horsies? Whatever.
position slightly to the side of her will likely lessen the impact a notch
or two.
She moved quickly. "My equipment is of top quality," Seishirou takes a
moment to remark.

Megumi manages to take it in the back of the head; not quite so vulnerable
there, but it still stings as she drops out of the air, rolling along the
ground and standing up. "Must've cost a lot of money, then?" Even while
waiting for a reply, she steps in towards Seishirou and aims to grab him by
the shoulders, and drive him against the center-piece of the merry-go-round.

COMBATSYS: Megumi successfully hits Seishirou with Medium Throw.

Megumi           0/-------/-----==|====---\-------\0        Seishirou

"Some," Seishirou acknowledged. But while Seishirou's voice is only vaguely
concerned, it seems that he almost lets Megumi grab him; only taking two
steps back when she approaches. "The rest I had to construct myself..." Just
enough time to finish his line of thought. And when she gets close, he
reaches behind him. The subsequent slam against the center piece of the
merry go round follows--and his time to soften the blow is nil, which causes
significant damage. But Megumi may note that he left a climbing wire behind
him. Connected to that wire is a grappling hook. And that hook has been
dropped to the ground just between Megumi's heels. And when Seishirou gets
up, moments after falling, his hand is on that wire.
The subsequent yank, should Megumi be out of sorts enough not to move away
from it, will pull her, leg first, into the spinning item with him. Probably
clipping a good degree of items along the way.

COMBATSYS: Megumi dodges Seishirou's Improvised Tactics.

[  \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\  < >  ///////////////////           ]
Megumi           0/-------/-----==|=====--\-------\0        Seishirou

It's possible Megumi saw the wire out of the corner of her eye. Or just felt
something wasn't quite right. But whatever the cause, when Seishirou yanks
the wire, she makes a quick hop straight up, letting it shoot right past
her. "I like a do-it-yourself kinda guy, actually." She hopes to capitalize
on Seishirou's cord yank, reaching out to pull back on one of his arms, and
push his chin up to mess up his balance. If she can do this, she takes
Seishirou to the ground, and applies quite the fierce wrist-twisting, which
should result in the turning two of the bones in his arms against one
another. This would probably hurt a significant deal.

COMBATSYS: Seishirou fails to counter Storm Hold from Megumi with Improvised Trap.
- Power hit! -

[  \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\  < >  //////////                    ]
Megumi           0/-------/----===|=======\-------\1        Seishirou

".....Eh?" Genuinely off-put, Seishirou wasn't quite ready for that. No, not
the move, the remark. The move is easily seen, and when she tries to sieze
one of his arms, Seishirou snaps the cable around in a whirling motion, to
try and ensnare Megumi's leading arm in the cable. Unfortunately, the
resultant motion doesn't have enough friction to really grip the girl and as
such slips off easily, as does Seishirou's ability to avoid the attack. He's
knocked down, and then suddenly, all he feels is sharp pain slamming through
his body, causing him to contort rather violently, gasping, as his wrist is
probably either snapped or sprained. "... Not bad," he manages to hiss out.

Megumi probably can't snap/break the wrist, not like this. That'd take
significantly more effort and talent than she really has. "It's kinda
important that I don't lose again, actually." She lets go of Seishirou, but
as she does she jumps up and tries to land on his chest, feet-first, with a
piercing yell accompanying it.

COMBATSYS: Megumi successfully hits Seishirou with Medium Kick.

[  \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\  < >  //////                        ]
Megumi           0/-------/---====|=======\==-----\1        Seishirou

He doesn't acknowledge Megumi yet. His arm still ached and because of his
light build, it probably hurt a good deal more than if Megumi had twisted a
full adult's arm with that attack. As it stands, Seishirou attempts to catch
Megumi's incoming jumping assault with one arm, but an aiming error causes
Megumi's feet to land solidly on either side of that arm, striking him hard
and knocking the wind out of him. Head spinning, Seishirou shifts slightly.
If this works, what'll happen is--he'll latch onto one of Megumi's feet with
one hand, his other reaching for the wire that's fallen to the side, and
then following up with a hard strike to the middle of her back with an
outstretched leg. He'll let go if he manages to do this. .. He could
understand the drive to win.

COMBATSYS: Megumi blocks Seishirou's Light Kick.

[   \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\  < >  //////                        ]
Megumi           0/-------/--=====|=======\==-----\1        Seishirou

Megumi begins to crouch down as Seishirou grabs onto her, intent on striking
him in an effort to make him let go. Well, this crouch is well timed, it
means she's 'going with' the momentum of his kick, so it doesn't connect
quite as well as he might have hoped. But the end result is the same for
her; she gets released and springs off of Seishirou. "After this match, I'd
like to ask you something." Whatever prompted that, Megumi tries to grab
ahold of the arm she damaged earlier, and bend it upwards with a sudden
motion. It might be enough to fling Seishirou back to the ground, or if he
isn't back to his feet yet, leaves a good chance for another wrist-lock to
be applied...

COMBATSYS: Seishirou counters Aikido Techniques from Megumi with Calculated Trap.

[           \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\  < >  //////                        ]
Megumi           1/-------/=======|===----\-------\0        Seishirou

The world finally stops, as Seishirou finally collects himself to do
something more tangible than kick at Megumi. But it only stops spinning
partially, as the momentum from the ride continues to remind Seishirou that
he's still spinning, in a very literal fashion. As Megumi hops away,
Seishirou takes the wire with him as he gets to his feet in a single flip.
Facing her now, Seishirou looks at Megumi closely for a moment, before
nodding, quietly. Ask him something? What? It's an odd request, but
Seishirou has relatively little time to consider it, before Megumi makes a
grab for him. Whipping the wire slightly, Seishirou leans away from the
range of the attack nimbly. There is a clank to Megumi's side and then
Seishirou leaps. And doesn't come down. Having latched onto the
understructure of the merry-go-round's top, Seishirou has no problems neatly
interjecting himself over Megumi and landing hehind her. Only at this point,
from his position, the climbing wire is in front of her, with the hook
caught on a horse's pole. This puts Seishirou in a remarkably good position
to knock Megumi off-balance with the wire and inevitably into his straight
kick directly to her face. If this succeeds, he'll hop backwards, to try and
knock Megumi head-over-heels backwards over that wire.

Megumi gets so close to catching Seishirou, and is too 'hell-bent' on it to
notice the wire until it's halfway at its destination. She stops, looking
over at it with a "Hn?"...Trip. PUNT. Megumi goes skidding back from the
kick, falling over the wire and smacking against the surface quite soundly.
"Owww...what in the..." Megumi is dazed, but has a lot of 'go' left in her,
handspringing to her feet and trying to wrap her arms around Seishirou's
waist. Then she spins off sideways and tries to fling him away, wanting to
move the battleground back onto normal terrain, instead of this
merry-go-round. It's obvious Seishirou gets more use out of it than her...

COMBATSYS: Seishirou interrupts Flood Reversal from Megumi with Kunai Shot.
- Power hit! -

[             \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\  < >  //////                        ]
Megumi           1/------=/=======|===----\-------\0        Seishirou

"Heh," Seishirou simply drops the wire; he's done with it for now. He knew
Megumi wouldn't be stupid enough to fall for it anymore. Instead, as Megumi
handsprigs to her feet, Seishirou's response is fairly straightforward. It's
just the speed in which he moves that makes a difference. Megumi's arms
literally lock around empty air--Seishirou fades back and entirely away from
Megumi's grab in an outrange move at a very fast pace and in the same
motion, pursues his own offensive. He whips around, then, hand to hip pack
and snapping back outward, he throws another kunai over the short range
towards Megumi's center of mass.

Megumi finds...Seishirou is not so easy to catch as of late, and she also
has a thin dagger-esque projectile stuck in her gut for her efforts. It's
not as bad as it could be for most people though, and she rips it out with a
wince, dropping it. "I'm still going to have those questions..." Then she
makes a flying leap into the air above Seishirou, inverting herself in
mid-air. She's aiming to grab ahold of his shoulders from above, and use
that to drive him into the floor.

COMBATSYS: Seishirou blocks Megumi's Medium Throw.

[             \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\  < >  ///                           ]
Megumi           1/------=/=======|====---\-------\0        Seishirou

Seishirou has made it a point not to be hit. He found that when Megumi
strikes, she strikes hard. Therefore, it is in his best interests to stay on
the rolling contraption--he had the strategic advantage, here. But when
Megumi jumps into the air, Seishirou only had a brief moment to look up,
before Megumi slammed him into the floor. But he also uses a roll to absorb
a portion of that downward momentum, moving away from Megumi before popping
up in a jump away from her... and then, he uses something that looked..
remotely like her earlier attack. He jumps into one of the rotating horses ,
against the spin of the go-round, and uses it to launch himself forward with
dire speed. "You're welcome to _do so!_" he spits, before his leg comes
forward in a flying roundhouse kick aimed for Megumi's face. If it lands, it
will sting.

COMBATSYS: Megumi counters Medium Kick from Seishirou with Tornado Slam.

[             \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\  < >                                ]
Megumi           0/-------/------=|=======\-------\1        Seishirou

Megumi springs off of Seishirou after her push/drive completes, even if it
isn't as successful as she wanted. She flips upright, landing on her feet,
just in time to find Seishirou's foot heading at her face. She catches his
leg, and begins spinning...and spinning, and spinning more. Once she's up to
a good speed, Seishirou is yanked off the ground, and Megumi begins bashing
him against the ground like a door-mat, several times, then tosses him away
from the merry-go-round and runs after him...

Not fast enough. That was the sentiment Seishirou held as Megumi managed to
catch him in the middle of his kick. In that instant, Seishirou understood
the truth of his sentiment. If he held back.. The next moment, Seishirou is
introduced to several flavors of pain, smashing into the metal walls of the
Merry-Go-Round, gasping with each smash, even as he goes, noting with
detachment Megumi's ability to use centrifugal force just as well as he. And
then he's sent flying, clear into the dirt, smashing into the ground hard.
It's a good few moments later that Seishirou rises on shaky legs and spits.
It's not saliva that he spits. "...not bad," he notes, in a broken tone.
It's obvious, by the way he holds himself, that he Felt That. "..... but ...
there's one last I've got to share." As Megumi moves in towards him,
Seishirou jumps into her and attempts his last. He lands skidding on one
shoe, only inches from Megumi. And his last attack.. is a simple kick to the
chin. Almost -straight- up.

COMBATSYS: Seishirou can no longer fight.
COMBATSYS: Seishirou has left the fight here.

COMBATSYS: Megumi counters Shishi Rendan from Seishirou with Flood Reversal.

Megumi stops as Seishirou gets up, noticably surprised. "You're not...?" No,
he's not quite done yet, and when Seishirou makes that nearly straight-up
kick, she catches his foot in her palms, then twists it sideways forcefully,
dropping the leg and stepping aside. "I hope I wasn't going too hard on you,
but honestly, give up? This match is over."

And that's that. Seishirou's leg is twisted violently, but at this point
it's just more pain across the great throb that the ninja had become. To his
merit, Seishirou manages to regain his balance when Megumi drops his leg.
And manages to stay standing, to stare at Megumi for all of thirteen
seconds, before he falls to the ground, on his knees. Holding himself up on
a single shaking glove, Seishirou pants. The match _was_ over. He wasn't
strong enough to beat her. This revelation comes painfully. So. This was the
upper tier...
His final words are wet, forced, as if Seishirou was trying very, very hard
to stay conscious. "...heh...what was your question?" is managed.

COMBATSYS: Megumi has ended the fight here.

Megumi drops her guard once it's obvious she'll be awarded the match,
walking over to a discarded kunai and holding it up. "This. And the wires.
And all of that stuff. Where /did/ you get them? It's not exactly something
I've seen too terribly often..."

His injured arm aches as he clamps his hand over his mouth, coughing
quietly. When he hears Megumi's question, he can't help but snicker.
Ruefully. In the end, for beating him, Seishirou will give her a straight
answer. ".... is that all? Those were hand made..." By him? Some of it.
Kunai handles, depending on the type, could be carved easily. He had more
hand collected items. He could carve just fine, but forging is a difficult
process. There is a reason he recollects the stuff on the ground. ".. In my
family for years." The wires? Most of those you could get at a sports supply
store, but that was something Megumi was going to have to figure out for
herself, since Seishirou doesn't specify. You know why?
Cause he just passed out. Thump.

Megumi hmms, listening to Seishirou's explanation, and then wincing when he
falls over. Well...he's okay. She didn't do anything /that/ bad to him.
"That reminds me of someone...using weapons in the family..." She's
satisfied, anyway. Definitely smiling, as she works on gathering up some of
the weapons strewn about and setting them near Seishirou. They'll be there,
she's not running off with any of 'em.

Seishirou is pretty much out of it, so isn't in much of a position to
notice. While he'll be out for a little bit longer than anyone else hit by
such an attack, he'll be back up in a little bit. Probably. Seishirou
doesn't handle unconsciousness well. Yet.
In the background, the camera crews are probably closing off the fight, once
it's apparent that Seishirou is -not- getting up.
