First Tourney - [Lower:R1B2] Dan vs Seishirou

Description: Saikyo-ryuu is specially formulated to pwn ninjas. ... Well, kinda. (Draw Match)

Rooftop

The rooftop of the main building of Gedo High is not very flat. It's
rounded, with sheet plating covering the entirety of it. There are a few
windows jutting out, providing flat spaces to stand up properly. Any person
with nominal athletic ability may balance atop those, the apex of the roof,
or the thin catwalk running around the perimeter of the roof.

Skiff skiff. Skiff. Tapping his sandals against the catwalk, Seishirou has
been here for quite a bit. While it's very possible he could have found a
spot to hide even up here, Seishirou doesn't bother. It wouldn't be of much
immediate worth anyway, as his view range would be limited and not very
effective for watching his latest opponent. Someone called 'Dan.'

It's not too long that Seishirou has to wait. Amid the general hustle and
bustle of the Gedo kids below--they'd caught wind that one of the tourney
fights was to be here--the clanging of the metal fire escape can be heard.
It sounds like someone jogging up, then several someones. Not too long
after, a brown-haired head pops up at the side of the building, squinted
eyes peering around as the rest of the fighter's body comes up the stairs.
The pink of his gi is enhanced by the sun, almost shining bright as Dan
hoists himself onto the rooftop. Students clamber up shortly after him, the
beacon of pink providing a guide for them to where the fight will be. Dan
pads out to one of the flat surfaces of the roof while the students line up
around the catwalk. Dan peers about, and although Sei has made no effort to
hide, Dan doesn't appear to see him. Instead, Pinky thumbs a fist on his
chest. "I, Dan Hibiki, have arrived! Where is my opponent, Seishirou
Ryouhara?" His voice is imperious and demanding, as though Sei is in for a
heck of a paddling if he doesn't show up.

The kid in blue is actually not making much of an effort to not be noticed.
But, being almost as far away from the fire escape exit as possible, it's
not too implausible that Dan might miss him. Not too much so. It's while
he's rolling his previously-dislocated arm in its socket when Seishirou
hears the clatter nearby, attracting his gaze. And it's about when the
shouting starts--from what is probably a very powerful set of lungs--that
Seishirou begins to frown.
What the..
Ryouhara announces himself in a single jump, landing, not on one of the flat
surfaces of the roof, but on the spherical areas. And he doesn't appear to
have any issues with balance at all. Hiking his backpack up a little on his
shoulder, Seishirou regards the man in pink for a moment. Fairly
incredulously.
Images of Rock and the Hawaiian flash through his mind.
"...I'm assuming you're Dan." Squint.

Dan turns to face the ninja as he leaps into view. Dan blows his lock of
hair up and out of his eyes as he studies Seishirou, eyes squinted so much
they nearly appear closed. With a harrumph, Dan shakes his head sadly.
"So she's decided to pair me with a boy?" Dan rubs the back of his neck,
frowning at Seishirou. "When I requested a fight, I didn't tell her I wanted
a throwaway match. It's simply not fair for such a young man to be faced
with the full awesome might of Saikyo." He sighs, folding his arms. "Well,
Seishirou, I hope you won't take your defeat too personally." The worst
part? This speech is utterly genuinely sincere.

In that moment, Seishirou had to stifle an urge to slap Dan.
He looked just like dead last.
Glowering significantly, both at the thought of Tora and at the thought of
Dan calling him a boy, he shakes it off--with a single collected blink. This
is Lisa's 'lesser half' of the losers. All because he couldn't defeat ...
him. As Dan continues talking, Seishirou's eyes count the students behind
Dan quietly, before he turns to the side, looking towards the cameras.
Taking note of all the potential bystanders, and the immediate area between
the two. Just for a moment. Refresher course. By the time Dan finishes,
Seishirou levelly regards him. With a slightly upraised lip.
It has become blatantly obvious to him at this point that Lisa, no matter
how useful she might potentially be to him, probably hates him.
"Whatever..." Seishirou breathes out, before employing a quick sliding jump
motion to get a few yards across the dome to meet Dan on an adjacent
flatspace. Landing on a single shoe, Seishirou settles down. He doesn't look
happy at all. The color was starting to annoy him. He was having to squint
at the pink paladin over there. "...A lot of talk for someone else who lost.
Are you ready?" The only response he'll dignify the comment against him
with.

POSE. Dan thrusts an arm out, his fist upraised in a sign of majestic pink
power. "DAN HIBIKI IS ALWAYS READY!" he roars with the confidence of a
rushing river. The audience is fully ignored; Dan's used to fighting in
front of one. "In order to show my good will and beneficial nature, you may
open the fight!" This, oddly enough, is said with the same fist-shaking
motion and determined expression. Dan's feet are planted squarely on the
flat surface, and he watches Seishirou through narrowed eyes. Bring it.

"...."

Now the tails of Seishirou's bandana get to wave lazily in the breeze that
is not generated by their being too high up but by Dan's warrior ...
whatever it is he's doing. Seishirou takes the luxury of a good few moments
to stare at Dan, as if the man standing before him were something he's read
about in a psychology book or something and is just now observing in the
wild, before he straightens as Dan readies himself.
"Alright," Seishirou allows, as he unzips his backpack by about an inch. But
that's about the only chance Dan gets. Because in about the space of the
next second, Seishirou has relocated himself into Dan's general area. He
does this with a hop, landing on one foot, as before. Only, Seishirou
doesn't make any immediate motions to put up a guard, an attack, or
anything. Because his shoe is raised about three inches over Dan's
forwardmost square planted foot.
Have you ever had your instep smashed? Not pleasant.

COMBATSYS: Seishirou has started a fight here.
COMBATSYS: Dan has joined the fight here.

COMBATSYS: Dan dodges Seishirou's Medium Kick.

Dan takes that split second to mentally prepare himself. Sure, it's only a
kid that he has to face, but that doesn't mean he can slack off. He must win
this fight! He must end his losing streak! He must prove to the world that
Dan Hibiki is not a joke! He must...move!
"Hey, watchit!" Dan leaps back to the next flat platform, his toes right up
against the platform's edge. He waggles a finger at Seishirou, grinning.
"You're quick. But speed is nothing against the Saikyo Absolute Defense!
OYAJII!" With that cry, he lunges forward, fist cocked as he launches
himself at Seishirou.

COMBATSYS: Seishirou counters Fierce Punch from Dan with Improvised Trap.

Dan              0/-------/-----==|-------\-------\0        Seishirou

BAM! Seishirou's shoe meets ground with just short of bone-cracking force.
But the idea of the attack was not in essence to hurt Dan--if it had, fine,
but Seishirou had re-learned the importance of one thing quickly. Don't
approach the opponent without a plan. The idea was to drive Dan back. Which
it did. Quite nicely, and when Dan is on the next platform, Seishirou is
already rotated, his hand back inside of his backpack. When Dan comes at
him, Seishirou takes a quick moment to look at Dan's arm closely. He
withdraws two items, and claps them together quietly, spinning them
perpendicular to his body.
It can be found the horizontal coverage of the resultant pinpoint bamboo
staff thrust to the chest to be -just- a few inches longer than Dan's arm.
Just a few inches.

"Hurk..." Dan's entire body freezes midair, the staff jabbing into his chest
quite painfully. His arm strains, but naturally doesn't come close enough to
actually hit. The instant of the strike passes, and Dan drops to the roof
between the platforms. The moment his feet hit, however, his legs kick off,
only slipping slightly despite the angled roof. He launches up and forward,
his fist extended in a mighty uppercut. "KOURYUKEN!" Dan knows punishment.
Dan has learned to never give up, never slow down until you're forced
unconscious. And now that this kid has shown he has tricks, it's time to
unleash the power of Saikyo upon him. All will fall.

COMBATSYS: Dan successfully hits Seishirou with Kouryuken.
- Power hit! -

Dan              0/-------/----===|====---\-------\0        Seishirou

As he skids back slightly on the space to absorb the shock of Dan impacting
into his staff, Seishirou does not smirk or laugh in the slightest when
Dan's fist comes a good two feet from his face. Instead, he is quite calm.
This is, after all, how he planned it. "Hmh.."
Of course, Dan took the landing much more gracefully than most he employed a
similar tactic upon back during his trainee days. And the -immediate-
response is not expected. Blinking for a moment, in one smooth motion
Seishirou quickly notes that his staff was too close and would not be enough
for the upcoming staff--it doesn't do deflection well in the way most staffs
do. So his only option is to step -back- on one heel immediately, weapon
moving behind him, and block.
Unfortunately, the force of Dan's blow plus the fact that Seishirou's over
foot is only a centimeter from the edge of the roof causes him to slip.
Noticably. This causes him to get struck. Hard.
The force of the blast knocks Seishirou a good ways into the air, gacking
quietly as his teeth slam together from the solid hit to the jaw. Spinning.
When he lands, it's only as a boon of roll training that Seishirou manages
-not- to roll off the dome and hit the ground below. Instead, he catches the
ground with his staff, his momentum causing him to flip back and up into the
air a short distance, headed for the next platform over. At that point Dan
might notice several very thin knives in his staff hand. 5 of them, in all.
And then he might notice the shimmering flickers in the air as the 4 daggers
fly out in a spreadshot pattern, clearly meant to hit as many painful areas
as possible on Dan; the shoulder, the kidneys, the groin. Etc.

COMBATSYS: Dan overcomes Kunai Flight from Seishirou with Gadouken.
- Power hit! -

Dan spins at the apex of his leap, landing on the platform he had just
knocked Sei off of. He spins around watching the ninja go through some fancy
motions. "Hrmph. You're more talented than I expected. Perhaps if you prove
worthy, you may come train with me at my dojo and learn the full extent of
the Saikyo Sty-YIPE!" In the middle of his talking, Dan barely catches a
glimpse of the knives zipping through the air at him. He throws his arm up
in front as if to protect himself, but rather than catching the knifes with
his arm--which would be painful indeed--a bright burst of blue chi forms
from his fist and flies forward, meeting the kunai less than half a foot
from his body. The kunai are knocked aside, and the Gadouken plows through
the rest of them, about to continue onward to Seishirou...when it dissipates
about a foot away from Dan.
This barely fazes the Saikyo Master, who proceeds to put his hands on his
hips and throw his head back in laughter. "YOU CANNOT DEFEAT ME! No matter
how many tricks you have in your bag, you are no match for my might! Now
come receive your dues and accept your defeat like a true manly warrior!
OOSHA!"

When Seishirou lands on the platform, he does so far more nimbly than he
landed the first time, in a kneel with the partially completed staff in one
hand. Taking only a second to rub at his jaw where Dan hit him, Seishirou at
once slips both hands behind him, sliding the half of the staff into his
other hand. As his kunai are scattered, Seishirou scoffs quietly. A chi
ability. "I don't need whatever you call training.." His voice at current
level might not even -carry- that far. Not only is he already graduated and
wouldn't be looking forward to another term under a teacher who is as loud
as Tora, but there's absolutely nothing wrong with his ability to see color.
Which is more than he can say for Saikyo Pink over there.
By the time Dan next sees the staff, it is split in two equal portions, held
in either hand. And coming to accept his dues is just what Seishirou had in
mind. The ninja closes the distance between himself and Dan unnervingly
quickly with just one burst of power, braced off of the support holding up
the platform he was formerly standing on. His momentum gained during this
placed behind striking out with the left portion of bamboo, towards the
source of the laughter--Dan's stomach.

COMBATSYS: Dan blocks Seishirou's Medium Punch.

[       \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\  < >  /////////////////////         ]
Dan              0/-------/---====|====---\-------\0        Seishirou

"OOSHA! YATTA!--" Dan's taunting cuts off midway as Seishirou starts at him.
Bloody hell, the kid really is too fast. This wouldn't be solved by a simple
leap backward, either, and no time for anything else. Dan brings his forearm
down and his knee up, jamming the two together in front of his midsection
-just- before the staff hits. He grimaces--it still hurt a good deal--but he
isn't winded this way. Before Sei can leap off...-hopefully- before Sei can
leap off, Dan turns the block into a sharp forward kick. "Face the facts and
admit you're overmatched, Seishirou! Don't make this harder than it is!"

COMBATSYS: Seishirou interrupts Medium Kick from Dan with Kunai Shot.

[         \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\  < >  //////////////////            ]
Dan              0/-------/--=====|======-\-------\0        Seishirou

That's the thing. Seishirou wasn't intending on retreating. He
quickly--*quickly* withdrew his left staff as soon as it was apparent it
would be blocked. Dan was pretty quick himself to be able to effectively
block this technique. And, given his general style of assault, Seishirou
knew a counterattack would -not- be far on the horizon. This guy isn't half
bad, for someone... in _pink_. That ... Hawaiian was similar too. He'd have
to be ready for anything.
And Seishirou -is-, when Dan's sharp kick comes forward--while a double
stack of the weapon would not bear attacks well, a single portion is almost
as good as any baton out there. It's because of this that Seishirou uses the
very point of it in a reverse handed shot to -redirect- the kick. It's just
a touch too far though, which causes it to still slam into his side, the
bamboo only absorbing a portion of the impact.
But none of that would actually hurt Dan.
What is far more important is the -right- weapon. You see, there was still a
kunai left over when Seishirou threw them. When Seishirou whirls back and
away from the attack, Dan may notice that the left portion of the staff is
somewhat hollow. Which leads to reason that the right one is as well. Which
Seishirou is currently drawing across the air. And letting loose some of the
slack of wire in that same hand. This causes another faintly visible flash
in the air, roughly two feet ahead of the weapon in a very predictable arc.
If it crosses Dan, it -will- slice him just as well as any sword might.
Just after this, "Ngh--you think you're something, don't you.." the youth
spits, in retort.

A very potent weapon, indeed, if it hit. Of course, Dan's luck holds even
when it's not going -too- well for him. As the redirecting bamboo stick
pushes his foot off to the side, he wobbles a little, not having expected
it. Ninja were usually the hit-and-run types, not tricksy littles hobbitses.
His balance thusly upset, he slips and falls backward. The Pendulum of
Certain Doom, therefore, only grazes his cheek, drawing a thin red line
across.
Dan is a goof, but he knows how to fight. If he could organize Saikyo into
something more than an improvisation style, he'd probably be pretty
effective. But Dan's good on his feet anyway and knows how to roll with the
punches. He tucks into a roll, shouting "Orarararararara!" all the way. He
falls off the platform, rolling down the side of the building to the
catwalk. The cheering Gedo students move aside for him, and he -continues-
rolling down the walkway, away from Seishirou. Several yards away, Dan
finally bounds to his feet, holding himself in a classic Ansatsuken kata
pose.
You say, "YOUSH! Your deviltry can never defeat me, lad! Your parlor tricks
will never succeed against a real fighter, especially a SAIKYO fighter! I am
the strongest, and if I have to defeat one who is not yet ready to take me
on to climb to the top of that mountain, then so be it! I fight for honor,
for glory, for the Saikyo way, and for OYAJI!" Tears of passion and
determination stream down his cheeks as he makes this speech, his flexed
arms shaking in front of him."

COMBATSYS: Dan gathers his will.

Seishirou redirects the kunai tied and threaded through the staff's path to
a rotating motion just behind him. He, of note, keeps the weapon spinning
even after it's apparent that Dan is no longer even in the same neighborhood
as Seishirou (spatial or _otherwise_.). The reasoning for this is simple.
You don't want to just -stop- spinning a potentially deadly weapon. That's
how people hit themselves in the face with nunchaku. Regardless, Seishirou
stands slightly as Dan takes the moment to -retreat- and retreat fast. He
dodged it.. By rolling away to the catwalk.
On the catwalk...
Frown. Seishirou shakes his head in annoyance. This is ridiculous--"That
pink--" He sputters for a moment venomously. This person, despite having
hurt him a little, got on his nerves almost as badly as the orange one.
Alright. Then it's up to him to pursue. It's at that point Seishirou very
simply -moves,- dissolving into a colored blur of motion..
The next time he reappears, it's in the air. Behind Dan. With a spinning
kick aimed to clip his right temple. "If you're determined to climb to the
top, then dodge *this!*"

COMBATSYS: Dan blocks Seishirou's Light Kick.

[          \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\  < >  //////////////////            ]
Dan              1/-----==/=======|======-\-------\0        Seishirou

Dan's speech fades away, and he returns to reality, albeit slowly. That sort
of thing could be one's downfall in a fight, but the morale boost it gives
can never be underestimated. So although Dan has no time to dodge at all, he
does the next best thing. From the kata stance he held, his arm snaps up,
intersecting the kick's path. He had gotten the kid to talk, and no matter
how fast he moved, talking always gave away location. Dan fights by the
strength of his punches and his convictions, and never really worries if the
opponent knows where he is, so it hardly matters to him. But you don't train
in martial arts for half your life without picking up a few things along the
way.
"Why should I dodge when I have you exactly where I want you?" Dan chortles
as he twists to face Seishirou. Ducking slightly, he seems to glow with
inner chi for an instant. With a cry of "HISSHOU!" he hops into the air with
a mini-uppercut. If it tags Sei, he launches from that into a whirlwind of
punches, uppercuts, and roundhouse kicks, shouting out "BURAI! KEN!" The
unrestrained flurry of his attacks is fueled by his desire, his need to win,
and each punch is packed with the pure potent power of the Super Strong
Saikyo Style!

COMBATSYS: Seishirou counters Hisshou Burai Ken from Dan with Kawarimi.

[          \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\  < >  //////////////////            ]
Dan              0/-------/-----==|======-\-------\0        Seishirou

He had polished his movement to the point where it could almost not be seen.
But it was still just a light motion, because his momentum from this angle
would only allow him to clip Dan. All the better, to prevent him from
launching an immediate counterattack--that same momentum would allow him to
outdistance the attack all the better. And when Dan blocks his kick and
counters with his own speech, Seishirou looks pained for a moment. .. Or is
it concentration?
When Dan's fist strikes him, he might notice that--just for an instant,
Seishirou is smirking. Before Dan apparently hits something in his jacket
that causes the immediate area to be flooded in smoke. But he's still there.
Getting struck by every single punch. Every kick--totally destroyed by Dan's
superior chi and need to win.
Or at the very least, something that -felt- a lot like Sei. Sorta.
As the smoke parts, it might be noted for a single moment that Dan's blows
have been landing on a bamboo-and-flour-bag stick replica of Seishirou.
Wearing, of course, a size small Gedo school uniform. If Dan's final blow
strikes, his only reward will be another explosion of white--and one ruined
dummy laying on the catwalk before him.
"...Hmph," comes a familiar voice behind Dan. Seishirou is standing there,
back facing the pink warrior, arms folded and otherwise out of view.
"....that was a waste of your time," he observes.

KAPOW! *BURST* Dan lands the final attack, assured of his victory despite
the odd smoke...and feeling the bag break. For a split second his mind
freezes. Had he gone overboard? Had he -broken- Seishirou? The kid was his
opponent, but that was no reason to mortally injure him!
That split second is over, and Dan blinks for a moment, utterly confused as
to why his entire front is suddenly covered in white powder. He stares at
his hands, then at the bag...and as Seishirou speaks, he whips around to
stare. ...And then he smirks too. Rubbing his thumb against his chin, Dan
chuckles. "Not bad, kiddo, not bad. You really are worthy of learning the
secrets of Saikyo from me. In fact, you've seen one already. Let me teach
you another."
"YAHOOIE!" Dan leaps backwards in a flip, arcing for the middle of the roof
at the peak. His hands grasp the roof firmly, and he pushes off with all his
strength. Apparently neither Hisshou Burai Ken nor its resounding failure
had damaged his will to fight in the least. The push sends him rocketing
into the air, whereupon he does a couple of twists and flips at the apex
until he's pointed straight down at Seishirou. Extending a fist in front of
him, gravity yanks him downward and he falls, picking up large amounts of
speed. Nearly lost in the wind, he roars, "HYPER ULTIMATE FINAL GRUESOME
GOLDEN FIST OF FURY!"

COMBATSYS: Dan successfully hits Seishirou with Kyuukyoku Tenchi Gadou Zuki.

[          \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\  < >  //////////////                ]
Dan              0/-------/-----==|=======\-------\1        Seishirou

Calm, cool, collected, the young ninja looks back at Dan, that same mark of
non-belief appears behind his eyes. If he was a joke, he was certainly one
of the more persistent jokes Seishirou has ever had the displeasure of
meeting. And as Dan offers to teach him, he begins to doubt it's possible to
ever make him take things with less than idiot-level enthusiasm.
It's part of that pondering that gives Dan the edge. As Seishirou watches
him, the one remaining staff segment in his hand--the one with the kunai
safely repositioned back inside it--taps against his shoulder. Once. That's
all the time he has before Dan is literally -on top of him- and Seishirou
has ... nil time to block. But that's about when his eyes widen slightly.
Not from suprise though.
It's worth noting that Seishirou arcs slightly, only making the barest of
efforts to block the attack--mostly by changing it's target--getting struck
solidly in the back and knocking him straight to the floor with a barely
stifled cry of pain. Before he got struck, Dan may have seen Seishirou grab
what is probably one of the last remaining segments of bamboo from his
backback, sliding it out in the instant after he got struck and went down.
And goes rolling away. But it's worth noting that Seishirou leaves a ..
small token of his appreciation for being shown Dan's 'awesome' technique.
A severely bent two section high bamboo staff. When Seishirou rolls away, he
lets go of the ring on one end of the knife. And it snaps =straight=. This
does not bode well for Dan, who may catch the top end in the face or--if
standing, ... probably someplace considerably less fun.

COMBATSYS: Seishirou successfully hits Dan with Improvised Tactics.

[                \\\\\\\\\\\\\\  < >  //////////////                ]
Dan              0/-------/--=====|=======\=------\1        Seishirou

Dan's Hyper Ultimate...whatever it was fist strikes Seishirou solidly! Woo!
As he lands, though, he has to take a second to shake his hand off. It still
wasn't really able to take a hit at those speeds. That second is all
Seishirou needs, though, as the trap gets sprung and Dan gets nailed in the
shoulder pretty hard with the knife. With a curse best not repeated here, he
pulls the knife away and rubs his shoulder. This fight obviously isn't over
by a long shot.
Dan gets off the catwalk, leaping onto one of the flat platforms once more
as he searches for Seishirou. Spotting him rolling away, Dan kicks off the
platform, lunging at Sei once more. Instead of bringing forward a hand or
foot to attack, though, Dan puts his palms out in front of him. They glow
for a moment, and then a second bright ball of chi flashes out from his
hands. If he can reach Seishirou in time, that's gonna leave a mark.
Otherwise it might disappear too fast to do anything.

COMBATSYS: Dan successfully hits Seishirou with Gadouken.

[                \\\\\\\\\\\\\\  < >  //////////                    ]
Dan              0/-------/-======|=======\===----\1        Seishirou

The ninja youth pops up just on the dome itself, shoes slanting to
accomodate it, fists at his sides. It sounded like it worked, but the pink
typhoon hasn't given up yet, it is made clear to Seishirou as he spots Dan
-almost on top of him-. He's moving. And moving fast. But when Seishirou
slips back out of the range of that chi ability he observed earlier, he
doesn't move -quite- fast enough and gets nailed solidly in the collar.
Getting smashed back, Seishirou gasps in temporary agony, before dropping to
one knee to attempt to steady himself. .. In a pose that looks more like the
bracing for a runner than anything else. And then suddenly Seishirou rockets
forward with something like the same speed as before, only this time there
is no cry, there is no war sound. Only the blurred movement of Seishirou
over the dome. Attempting to catch Dan at the shoulders, flip him into the
air, and then directly into the solid, flat ground of a nearby platform.

COMBATSYS: Dan fails to interrupt Medium Throw from Seishirou with Seoi Nage.

[                     \\\\\\\\\  < >  //////////                    ]
Dan              1/-------/=======|=======\===----\1        Seishirou

Dan lands as gracefully as he can, his breathing plain now. Seishirou's
making him work for his win. Well, Dan never goes down peacefully. He blinks
once, staring at the blur of motion that is Seishirou as the other rushes
him. He certainly can't dodge...but as Sei grabs onto him to flip him, Dan's
hands reach to grab onto Sei themselves.

..Unfortunately, the ninja is moving too fast for Dan now. His grip is
broken as Seishirou tosses him, and he goes flying back to slam against the
railing of the catwalk. Gripping it so he doesn't fall over, he staggers to
his feet. "Y'know, you'd think I'd know better after Hinata spinkicked me in
the face. Kids can be tough." He wipes a little bit of blood from the corner
of his mouth and grins. "Well, at least this isn't any gimme fight..."

He lands on the surface of the dome, one legged, as before, before placing
his other leg to what is substituing for ground. Squinting levelly at Dan,
he to tell the truth, isn't feeling much better than him at the moment. It's
getting a little tough to stand on the dome without slipping. His eyes are
cold and determined, his face set in a faint frown. If this was the bottom
of the heap and he was feeling the effects of being hurt before Dan began to
show.. it upset him, mildly.
"... You've seen that my style compares," Seishirou allows. "...it's about
time." It's about the most polite response you'll get from him. Especially
in this mood. "...So we can fight for real now." It's at that point that
Seishirou settles into a ready stance, this time his right hand positioned
almost behind his body. Then he moves in again, this time taking three steps
towards Dan as if to assault him directly... then using his fourth step to
jump himself up high into the air and then rotate into the sky with a
blurred downwards punch across Dan's jaw, from his left hand.

COMBATSYS: Seishirou successfully hits Dan with Jab Punch.

Dan              1/------=/=======|=======\===----\1        Seishirou

Okay, this speed thing is just getting downright annoying. Dan puts one foot
to the side and brings a hand up to block, but the fist lashes out too
quickly, clipping Dan across the face and sending him to one side. Dan tucks
into a roll, putting some distance between him and Seishirou. He gets up to
one knee, smirking. "You're getting tired, huh? You need stamina to win
fights." He stands up and shoves his hands together, directions them at
Seishirou. "GADOUKEN!" The now-familiar ball of chi forms...but bigger this
time, and speeds at Seishirou. If the ninja had been noticing, the distance
between the two fighters right now far exceeds the projectile's normal
range....but -this- one keeps flying, crossing the distance asily and
burning up the air straight for Sei's current location.

COMBATSYS: Seishirou blocks Dan's Shinkuu Gadouken.

Hmph. Dan's speed was not superior to his own, but Dan's power -was- fairly
significant, he had to allow. ... as was his ability to still smirk after
being punched in the mouth. ... And his ability to hit him. Which is why
when Seishirou dives, he lands on the ground, not pressing the attack any
when he retreats. Not yet, anyway. But when the Man powers up for another
attack, Seishirou's eyes narrow suspiciously. From what he's observed of
that attack, it couldn't cross a bathtub, let alone a battlefield. Which is
why Seishirou is significantly suprised when the attack--far more powerful
and far more ranged--comes barreling at him out of nowhere. AT the very last
second, Seishirou widens. He had few recourses left for an attack of such
magnitude except--block. Seishirou's metal plated gloves interlace before
him, and he is struck solidly, knoeced off of his feet, and going
rolling--just shy of uncontrollably--down the dome aways before he catches
himself, on the catwalk.
Getting up, he walks over to the portions of bamboo. Carefully selecting,
and picking two up, he notes, idly, panting. "Not bad..." More internally,
to anyone else. But then he leaps back up, his frame peaking at a high
height, before he sails at Dan full force, single staff in hand. "I'm going
to END this!" He hisses, before a single pump kick arrests his central
motion towards Dan.. and instead, he sends the spinning item flying towards
Dan's face. In his stead.

COMBATSYS: Dan blocks Seishirou's Thrown Object.

Dan              0/-------/------=|=======\=====--\1        Seishirou

Dan braces himself, bringing his arms up in front to take the brunt of
Seishirou's attack...and instead feels the bamboo snap across them. Didn't
hurt -that- much, but it still stung on top of all his other injuries. He
lets it fall to the ground, shaking his arms out a bit as he watches
Seishirou. Every time he went directly at the ninja, there was some surprise
or another waiting for him. He'd gotten in some good hits, but even he could
tell it himself; if he charged in, the kid was likely to slap him down. His
chi felt somewhat spent, and another Gadouken would require close range
anyway. Which left a third option.
Dan yawns widely, leaning against the railing and stretching out. He keeps
his eyes on Seishirou, but otherwise just kinda chills for a moment. "Looks
like a Mexican standoff, huh?" he calls. "First one to move gets his rear
end blown off." He folds his arms, looking quite relaxed. "Come and get me."

COMBATSYS: Dan takes a breather.

Dan              0/-------/------=|=======\=====--\1        Seishirou

The young ninja rotated slightly in the air, before dropping down onto the
dome. As Dan chills and yawns... it's probably the first time Seishirou has
notably smirked. Dan's style is pretty formidable, Seishirou will admit. But
as he folds his arms and looks at Dan, it's obvious there's something else
going on.
A Mexican standoff? Heh. "....Maybe not...."
See. As the bamboo snaps and shatters and clatters to either side of Dan, it
will become apparent that there was something else lodged in them. Little
white spheres. What happens next may irritate the camera crew. As they
explode from the rough treatment inside of the bamboo, and spray smoke to
envelop Dan. At that point, Seishirou will make his move, the mist
disrupting towards him. What will happen next is not quite clear to the
outside, but Dan, should it land, will -certainly- feel it.
It will begin with an all-or-nothing smash kick to the chin, aimed to knock
Dan way up out of the cloud.

COMBATSYS: Dan blocks Seishirou's Shishi Rendan.

Dan              0/-------/----===|=====--\-------\0        Seishirou

What will follow next is Seishirou's own specialized attack pattern. Once
Dan is up, the ninja will quite simply blur into existance behind him. Using
centrifugal force, he will then strike Dan at least twice in that short span
of time, with a rotating punch, then he will spin back, and attempt kicking
solidly into Dan's back to knock him back towards the ground. But his attack
doesn't simply end there. At that point, he'll air burst -straight- back
down after Dan, to strike him strike more, with one last potent kick mere
feet below the ground, the force of which is likely enough to at least
partially scatter the concealing smoke.

Clever Dan. Pretend to put your guard down around a guy MUCH FASTER THAN YOU
ARE. Harumph. Sometimes he's too sly for his own good. The smoke blocks his
view, and relaxation turns to surprise. Before he can pull himself together,
though, Seishirou is there, slamming a foot into his jaw and launching him
up. Crapcrapcrap. He can't lose! But he can't fight back in his current
state...
Just in time, Dan draws himself inward, bringing his arms and legs in to
cover up vital areas--good thing, too, as Seishirou begins to pummel him
mercilessly. His arms are becoming very battered by now, but he weathers the
attack.
As Seishirou kicks him in the back, he falls to the ground, immediately
rolling out of the way to avoid the final attack. He comes up to his knees,
coughing and panting hard for a moment. Jee-zus that hurt, though not so
much compared to when Billy Kane laid into him. He doesn't have a moment to
waste, though. On his last legs, he has to make every action count. Forcing
his body to follow his will, he gathers his legs under him, and as Seishirou
lands next to him, he explodes upwards for the second time that night,
driving an uppercut directly for Seishirou's jaw. "Kouryuken!"

COMBATSYS: Seishirou blocks Dan's Kouryuken.

Dan              0/-------/---====|=======\-------\0        Seishirou

Every action has to count. Seishirou understands that just as well as Dan
does. This was a neck and neck fight and one critical misstep could lead to
defeat. Regardless of this, Seishirou's kick is aborted as soon as he hears
Dan move, instead his kick bringing him to a stand on the platform, the
speed of his bullet movement parting the veil just as well. He almost
falters and slips--it's hard to control the movement of a fast -and powerful
attack like that without absorbing some shock. And right now, shock was
fairly hurting Seishirou. Badly. Instead, he followed Dan's movements,
breathing--hard. And when Dan explodes forward--he's seen that attack
before. This time it's far easier to block it. His arms cross in front of
the uppercut as it strikes him, knocking him up into the air, with a grunt
of barely suppressed serious injury. But this time, rather than flipping
back, the ninja reorients himself in midair. And with the same components
that allowed him to execute the Shishi Rendan, he uses the force of his
backwards kick to launch himself right back at Dan with not much warning. To
catch him in the middle of his downfall by his left arm and then to rotate
and use the ninja's descending weight to flick him, very neatly, over his
opposite shoulder.

COMBATSYS: Dan interrupts Quick Throw from Seishirou with Seoi Nage.
- Power hit! -

Dan              0/-------/---====|=======\-------\1        Seishirou

Dan feels his fist connect with Seishirou. Good, good, excellent even. It
felt like a block, but as long as the kid didn't just dodge away, he was
still in this fight. He lets the momentum of his jump carry him up,
up...then down...and then he feels the ninja's hands grasp his arm. As he
often does when he feels someone preparing to toss him, Dan grins. Widely.
It hadn't worked any of the times he tried it before, but he was confident
in this tactic's success.
Before Seishirou can actually throw him, Dan's own hand grasps onto Sei's
arm. He lets himself be flung over Seishirou's shoulder, orienting his body
to face Sei and be upright to land feet-first. As soon as he feels his feet
touch ground, Dan's other arm grabs Sei's shoulder, and with both hands
firmly grasping the ninja, it's -Dan's- turn to heft Seishirou over his
shoulder. Seishirou may have a bunch of neat little toys, but the old foxes
always have their own tricks.

Try it until it works. If Seishirou was aware of Dan's approach to the move,
he'd mutter moodily about Dan reminding him of someone. If he were aware. Of
course, he's given much more immediate issues to worry about. Like Dan's
reversal--which is a suprise. It hadn't worked before, but it did now. And
quite well, as a matter of fact. Seishirou is launched.. with enough force
that he knew that he was going to have a hard time falling. But he still had
one option left. One that he'd been saving for the entire match, just for
Dan. It wasn't meant to be used this way.. but Seishirou was always pretty
good at improvisation. As he's flipped over, Seishirou forgets -everything-
he knew about landing, instead his hand again going behind him, in a similar
stance that Dan might recognize if he were paying attention.. and.. rotating
in the air, he will unfurl his sash.
You see, Seishirou wears a belt underneath that thing. It serves no
immediately discernable purpose save for style. And Seishirou's not the type
to wear something just to look good. There's a good reason it doesn't blow
in the wind, you see; there is a very heavy metal weight concealed in the
end. Something Dan will find very quickly as Seishirou whips it off and in a
smooth spinning motion, lashes the business end of it clear out at Dan's
skull.
Hit or miss, Seishirou will hit the catwalk--hard. And not rise.

COMBATSYS: Seishirou can no longer fight.
COMBATSYS: Seishirou has left the fight here.

COMBATSYS: Seishirou successfully hits Dan with Calculated Trap.
- Power hit! -

Dan stands there on his last legs, swaying slightly in the breeze found this
high up. He watches Seishirou go sailing, confident in his victory. He only
blinks as Seishirou unveils his last trick. Dan's tired enough that he only
notices something odd about the sash, but not -what's- odd. He only watches
it confusedly as Seishirou whips it at him. He wouldn't get hurt by that
thing, but best not to take chances now...
..But as he starts to move, he realizes...it's coming at him fast. Crap.
With a grunt, he just shuts his eyes and tries to move, but bracing for the
impact...which lands. Cracks him in the face. And he goes flying to the
other end of the bulding. Both fighters are now down, and they ain't getting
up.
