Description: Unlikely teams abound: Sagat and Sakura face off against Ralf, Cody, and Xiangfei. (Winners: Sagat and Sakura)
After the first round matchups were first announced, a wave of fear shot through Sakura Kasugano. Not only wasn't she teamed up with Ryu, she was teamed up with his eternal rival. One that was narrowly bested in combat just a few weeks before, but a worthy adversary just the same. After the initial shock wore off, though, Sakura warmed to the idea, and even grew to embrace it. Where else would she get such an opportunity, after all?
Well, the last time she'd seen her temporary mentor was a couple days prior, in a chance meeting. A quick spar was really all it took -- Kasugano got the direction she needed to proceed with solo training. Seemed to be the way Sagat preferred it. And... well, it kinda shows from the way she's entering the ring now. Sure, she's wearing her sailor-style uniform that she usually brings to such matches, rather than the pale blue gi she'd been spotted in throughout the past few weeks. But instead of her bright red vambraces and Converses, her wrists, knuckles, shins and ankles are coated in white tape. But still, her white headband is unmistakable. "Let's bring it to 'em, Mr Sagat!" she calls back to her mentor, purposefully striding into the ring.

Sagat's wanderings bring him to the Exhibition Yard of the castle. Sagat has been prepped and ready for his first round match in this tournament for a long time. After his training with Sakura, he had pretty much figured out how much he was going to need to compensate for her being his student in this tournament. Apparently he had been informed that his match was ready to begin. The giant Muay Thai Kickboxer made his way to this location. He has discarded his longcoat on the way here. All he wears is a pair of red and brown trunks and the wrappings around his wrists/forearms and his shins/ankles. Sagat met up with Sakura, his 'student', and he nodded to her when she makes her statement. After a moment of quickly tightening his wrappings, he too moves to enter the ring.

Sporting a different look for this special occasion, the bulky Ikari has gone for a fashionable pair of forest green pants, just long enough to cover most of his thick brown shitkickers. His white wifebeater has been replaced with a green T of similar color, and of course, his ever-present green flak jacket completes the fabulous ensemble. ..Like a friggin' walking forest, he is.
"Alright, let's whup some ass!" he yells loudly, smacking his right fist into his left palm as he steps into the arena. Behind him are his two students, hopefully lacking too many bouts of quarrelling in the process. He's spent the last few days trying to get them to work together and prepare for this little shindig, time to see if his brand of training has paid off any!
Stopping at the place marked for Team B, he puts both hands on his hips and leans way back, shifting from side to side and even squatting down, just to loosen and warm up some. He gives Sakura a wide, toothy grin as he sees her, but it's Sagat, the ex-Emperor, that really gets his adrenaline going. It's like facing down another living legend, and not even the Ikari is immune to a small fit of almost fanboyish mirth.

Cody is, much as Ralf fears, most likely currently engaged in an argument with Xiangfei, about various things such as her hair, the weather, whether or not German is actually a real language, and ham. He's distracted from his quarrel, however, by Ralf's cry, and shrugs, dropping the argument instantly and climbing up into the arena.
He has, today, forgone his typical casual dress (or prisoner jumpsuit) in favor of an outfit similar, though not completely identical, to Ralf's. As he begins stretching, however, he apparently remembers something and searches his pockets for a few moments before withdrawing a pair of handcuffs and beginning to put them on, whistling as he does.

To say that Li Xiangfei was pumped, was a complete understatement, despite haveing to do such annoying 'training', with someone who quite frankly didn't get along with too well, she felt like she was going to explode if she didn't get into action soon! She's dressed up in her usual ensamble as well, though her pants are a forest green and a lighter green top, a streaks of black and green war pain on each cheek. But more importanly, she carries a bag in her hand filled with all kinds of food.
Yeah, she's quarreling with Cody, and quite childishly at that, as a response to each comment he gives, "Idiot. Dummy. Moron. Stupid. Lunkhead. Fool." she hisses quietly, though jumps slightly to Ralf sudden yell, much like her teamate, "Yes sir, Mister Jones! Hey hey, I came up with a cheer for when we win so lets totally kick some but-- Cody what the crap are you doing?"

Quite a collection of fighters, a grab-bag mixture of differing cultures and fighting styles. But the two leaders.. the 'teachers'.. they have an interesting parallel: the terrain in which they were honed. Both seasoned by a jungle environment and both experienced in their respective ways... and each with their fans and levels of respect among the more powerful fighting forces. Even if Ralf could do with better table manners.
The highly decorated Lieutenant Jones is joined today by one of his usual subordinates, albeit one who taught him a valuable lesson in humility a short while ago. Private Whip sits among the other spectators here, inconspicious in a pair of baggy jeans and a warm light brown sweater, its collar hiding all but her girlish face from view. A quiet smile on her lips, she sits calmly watching and evaluating her superior's first bout. Hopefully he can win their group a little honour in the next few weeks...
Flashing a quick, optimistic grin back to Sagat, Sakura seems relatively confident. She doesn't expect a whole lot of conversation from the Muay Thai God, though -- but that's hardly why she's here. She throws her hand out at Ralf, pointing at him. "So they put -you- in charge? This ought to be a laugh!" Winking back at the mercenary, she flexes one fist at him, in a callback to her Saikyo-ryuu beginnings. "Normally I'd have to put the hurt on myself, but I think Mr Sagat here wants to do the honors himself!" The announcer's going on while she's talking, so it's unlikely the Strolheim students gathered around to watch were actually able to -hear- the pre-fight banter she's slinging at Ralf. No bother, though -- for as soon as the bell dings to signal the beginning of the fight, Sakura has no trouble paying attention to -that-. Clutching her hands together at her sides, she gathers forth a decently-sized bloom of chi -- thrusting it forward as a wake-up call to Cody. "HADOUUUUKEN!" she cries as the tire-sized orb rockets across the ring to the brawler.
Sagat is a living Legend... and Ralf is facing down him. The one eyed Emporer stares down the ring towards his and Sakura's opponents. His eye narrows slightly as he quickly studies each one. The big kickboxer hrms quietly to himself as he observes them for a few moments before the bout. Two of them are argueing. Not really a team mentality... probably something that may distract those two.. or be used to Sagat's and Sakura's advantage. The big kickboxer raises his right hand to his left palm and cracks each knuckle one at a time, as he waits and prepares. Then it looks like his 'student' goes about starting the trash talking.. and the fighting. When the Hadouken is released, Sagat decides to go ahead and move forward and begin his own attack. Ralf is his target, and the Living Legend strides in the other 'Teacher's' direction. His arms are held back behind him as chi gathers at the ends of his limbs. The chi erupts into flames around his forearms and wrist.. the Chi grows and as Sagat stalks forward, he swings his arms infront of him. The collision of his fists sends a large crescent wave of flaming chi towards one of his opponents.

Pff. Gain some honor back? Honestly, being in the tournament alone is enough of an honor, and to be named in the teacher spot? Well, needless to say, that simple fact alone is likely to pull in a few more high-paying missions for the elite band of mercenaries.
Sakura's tauntings are replied with a short puff, his right hand out and waving at the girl dismissively. "Be quiet and let the adults play, alright?" A wide, toothy grin smears itself across his maw in kind before he turns to Sagat, who..what, no opening trash talk? No shaking of hands? It's just..BAM! KILL! What a poor sport. Still, Ralf keeps his spirits high. Taking a deep breath, he pounds his chest even as he sees the massive gout of chi coming towards him, much like some kind of ballistic missile from hell. Is he scared, though? ..Nah. Not..not really. His arms drop slightly as he moves to duck, but the thing's a bit faster than he. The impact literally pushes the 'teacher' back, boots skidding across the ground as he takes the thing on like some abused football dummy. When it finally dissipates, the Ikari's hands drop to the ground in front of him, his posture that of a sprinter's. "Nice shot, one-eye," he barks in a sort of compliment as he takes off, rushing to the old Emp. with a loud yell. A short distance before the big lug, he springs up into the air, feet shooting out in front of him in a very awkward-looking, spinning drop kick. Good luck, kids. AND STOP THAT BITCHING!

Xiangfei oh rights, glancing to her bag and draws out a stick of Slim Jim (tm) and then drops her bag, seeming to be ready for battle! Well that is after she takes a nice bite out of it, she holding it tightly in her hand and whispers, "Lucky Jerky, don't fail me now! *SNAP*" Not being the immediete target is lucky for her in this case!
She first looks toward her teacher, squealing excitedly to the Ikari Warriors attack, and cups her mouth to yell, "RALFU KEEEECK!!' bits of jerky flying from her mouth in the process, but that's ok!
But now on to business! With a nod of her head the Heavenly Hip-Hop Honey dashes in the schoolgirls direction, and past Cody, "Your opponent, is -me-!" she cries, and she leaps with a jumpkick that isn't quite as flashy as Mr Jones, "Xiangfei KICK!"
"What? What do you mean 'what am I doing?'" asks Cody, turning to peer at Xiangfei. "I'm putting handcuffs on. You know, to make it interesti.. hold on," he sighs, when he notices Sakura's attack, and turns, slipping a knife out of his pocket and opening it in one motion before chucking it blade-first at the ball of chi. "Hold on a second, jesus!"
With a sigh, he turns back to Xiangfei. "I'm making it interesting. See, if I didn't wear them, I'd OH GOD!"
Unknown to Cody, the knife hit the ball of chi at just the right angle and merely skimmed along it before clattering to the ground, and so the ball of chi impacts him quite solidly and drops him, smoking, to the ground, eyes temporarily big ol' swirlies.

Sakura and Sagat aren't exactly the most -matched- team on the planet, but they seem to be acting in concert a whole lot better than their opponents. They have similar fireball-hurling capabilities, yet wholly dissimilar weaknesses. Kasugano grins as she hears the wave of fire blazing at her side, stepping away from her 'teacher' so that they can't both be caught in the wave of some massive attack. Not that she expects the three to have -developed- one in the relatively short timeframe they were given, but better safe than sorry! As for her being chided by Ralf, it's easily shrugged off. One, because she's used to such age discrimination from Ralf. Two: she has both Cody and Xiangfei drawing her fire. Well, Xiangfei, anyway. As that flying kick comes racing her way, Sakura... raises an eyebrow. "What is this, the O-Gimp-ics?" Shaking her head with a cocky grin, she raises both arms high in a Muay Thai-inspired block -- but swerves her torso out of the way of the kick, instead dashing towards Cody, likely to be in the midst of shaking off the warm, stinging effects of her Hadouken. And, just in case that wasn't distracting enough, Sakura throws a quick fist at his face -- before wheeling her right foot overhead to come crashing down on top of him. Was there a flash of red just then? Who knows?! "Hriiii-haaaaa!"

After the cresent wave of firey chi is released from Sagat's forearms and fists, Sagat continues rushing forward towards his opponent. Sagat wants to bring the fight to the Ikari Warrior. But after the Tiger Shot collides with Ralf... it looks like Ralf wants to bring the fight to the Muay Thai Emporer. Ralf flies in with his Ralf Kick and the Muay Thai God raises his arms up in front of him to block the incoming strike. Sagat's legs also brace for impact as well, so he doesn't go skidding back like the other Teacher had done. When the strike is blocked, the Muay Thai Fighter goes on the offensive, quickly swinging his fist towards Ralf's face.. which is only meant to distract the Ikari warrior. The real attack comes when Sagat swings his massive leg towards Ralf's legs, attempting to crush them in a sweeping kick at his knees.

Ow, okay, look. You give APPLES to the teacher. Not sweeping kicks to the legs. See, that'll get you detention. You don't want detention in the Ikari house, you have to do stuff like sit on tacks and stuff. It's really quite uncomfortable.
So Ralf's feet impact squarely against Sagat's arms, which..you know what? He can live with that. After his rounds with Ryu, connecting feels good, even if he's not exactly putting on the greatest show. All but bouncing away from the block, the mercenary drops to the ground on his gut, hands on either side of his chest to push quickly and get him back into action. He turns as he rises to his feet, already using the momentum to fling his right elbow toward Sagat's mighty..chest. Guy's too damn tall to go for a face strike like that. It was a valiant attempt too, but the long, strong leg of the law sweeps his legs out from under him rather cleanly, sending its opponent to the floor once more with that flailing spin. Damn. Just, damn. Not nearly out yet, however, he scrambles back up to his feet almost as soon as he goes down.

Cody is, indeed, climbing to his feet and attempting to recover from the fiery love of Sakura's Hadouken. The initial punch to the face catches him offguard, and he loses a little progess on his uneasy climb to his feet (his head is still spinning, after all), but as the overhead kick comes in Cody growls and moves his hands to catch it.
And 'lo, he does succeed, wrapping his hands firmly around Sakura's leg and attempting to lift her up into what is (basically) a sitting position in front of his head, take a few steps forward (while finishing standing up) and then hop slightly into the air and violently powerbomb the girl to the ground.
As he attempts this, he yells at Xiangfei, "GO HELP RALF!"
Xiangfei erks, though luckily she doesn't go tumbling in the most ungracious matter when Sakura evades her kick, and she lands on her extended foot, arms held out like airplane wings to keep her balance, "... Ogimpics?" she murmurs cluelessly, ".. Didn't she mean olympics?" She was a little annoyed that Sakura continued to persue Cody, but to the jailbirds command she grit her teeth and gave a nod of her head, trusting he has things under control despite getting owned via fireball.
Not having much time to return with a snarky comment, Xiangfei dashes then toward Sagat, her eyes widening as the man gets bigger and bigger the closer she gets. WOW! "I got it, Mister Jones!" she calls as she races by the Ikari and attempts to slap her hand right on Sagats stomach. If that were to connect, a sudden burst of energy would nail him in the tagged spot and hopefully send him staggering.

Sakura, caught with her leg in the air after that kick? Really, it's nothing new for the schoolgirl, but she really wishes they wouldn't exploit the maneuver by yanking her up for a closer view. Especially not the one -Cody's- pulling her into. "I'm only sixteen, dicknose!" Does he want to be locked up -again?- As she's slammed back down to the ground, though, the Taiyo schoolgirl uses the swift motion and her slender frame to her advantage, bending forward at the last moment to offset the momentum of being slammed into the ground. She still -impacts-, of course, but it's nowhere near as powerful as it -might- have been -- especially from the way she kicks herself loose of Cody's grasp.
But... whoops. Cody's still close to the ground, right? Pivoting back to her feet, she then leaps forward, soaring over his head for a moment, before coming -crashing- down onto him, legs to either side as she swings both fists at the back of his head in a double axehandle. Not quite Muay Thai, but she's more interested in effectiveness than the style. "Yuu-ttaaah!"

The big man puts a small grimace on his face.. but the grimace is one of satisfaction. The big man caught him with the sweep just as Ralf was about to launch into another attack. He effectively did damage as well as kept Ralf from striking back. Sagat must capitalize on this, and he knows it. Sagat seems to accept the fact that he's got the upperhand, but he does not want to hesitate, for he may lose this advantage... especially if one of Ralf's 'students' want to interfere in their little one on one match here. And before Sagat can rush forward, out of the corner of his eye, Sagat sees that one of the 'students' is planning on interfering. When Xiangfei slaps towards Sagat, he merely bats her arm away, "All in due time." He utters before rushing towards Ralf, "Tiger..." he leaps into the air, knee out infront of him. He rockets through the air like a missile, "CRUSH!" he shouts.

Don't worry, kids! Ralf is..Ralf is okay! He's fine! He's kinda..lookin' a bit like a ragdoll out there, the way he's getting kicked around. Sagat, you got your wish! Ralf gets up in time to see the man's knee coming, so..it's not like it's a surprise. Actually..it is, sort of. The guy's just coming at him so /fast/, and the big man lifts his arms, crossing them to brace for the impact.
However..the impact is much like a train, only that train got hit from behind by another train, and then THAT train got hit by like the space shuttle or something. Then, all of THAT mess plowed right into Ralf! Poor guy. His thick, meaty arms are effectively mashed right into his face, across his forehead and jaw. All he needs is for Sagat to tell him to stop hitting himself! The upward strike lifts him up off of his feet, just enough to kill any sense of balance while he flies a couple of feet back, landing hard on his back with another skidding of his jackat across the floor. Grunts, groans.. As he pulls himself up to a seated position, he spits out a small wad of gum, tainted with crimson from his bleeding, cracked lip.
"You're a god damn animal.." he mutters, leaning forward and bringing himself to his feet once more. Once more, he rushes toward Sagat, keeping low in another kamikaze-style rush. His arms pull out and extend forward, obviously trying to tackle the man down for a good old-fashioned face-pummeling. If not..hopefully, he can hold the guy as he yells for Xiangfei to take advantage of the situation. Give the man a gold star for trying, huh?

As Sakura leaps in and attempts to wallop Cody in the back of the head, the brawler grunts and rolls backwards and to his feet, rushing back in hopefully before Sakura can recover from the missed blow and in fact vertically scaling the schoolgirl, planting one foot on her clenched hands, pushing upwards, and pushing the other into her neck, focusing his weight onto that foot and forward, hoping to ride Sakura down to the ground and make a delicious sandwich out of his foot, the floor, and Sakura's neckmeats.
Xiangfei staggers off a bit to the side, her attack so easily brushed off, and she grits her teeth in annoyance. Or rather in a bit of frustration, and worry because this big man is giving Ralf a beatdown, and it didn't look fun at all. She'll have to get his attention somehow!
"Okaaay," she mumbles to herself, slapping her cheeks and she's ready for battle once more, the little one zipping toward both men- Whether Ralf can get him down or not, she either adds to the combination or attacks alone with a sliding kick toward Sagat, "Kaaaaaaaah!"

Sakura might not be looking towards the other three, but she knows pain when she hears it -- and knows Ralf and Xiangfei are likely to be on the receiving end from the way Sagat is shouting. She'd fought him twice, and didn't particularly do well against the massive wall o' muscle either time. Still -- she wants to advance in this tournament, so she has to accept the fact that her friend did indeed volunteer for this tournament battle. Not that she has much time to dwell on that, with Cody lunging forward to grab her arm and all. She's caught by the criminal, but as for being ridden like a kid's scooter... that's... no. Sakura wants no part of that game, launching herself off the ground -- Cody's -tight- grip on her arm eliciting a grimace of pain -- yet somehow works it to her own advantage. The goal of the attack is to swing around behind Cody, clamping her arm about his neck and jerking into a chokehold. Should that succeed, she'd keep it up for a few chokes before slamming her elbow into his back for a quick strike.

The Big Muay Thai Champion lands after the Tiger Crush. he pulled his legs underneath him to catch his bulk. After the strike, Sagat backs away slightly and raises his arms up infront of him. Now he has to worry about both Ralf and Xiangfei. Sagat's single eye cuts back and forth between the two combatants. Teh two of them seem to attack in time intervals that are really close! However, Sagat focuses on the incoming Ralf first. His arms and legs rise up and tense as they block and deflect incoming blows from the Ikari Warrior. He leaps away from any other blows from Ralf, and when he lands he is able to block a kick from Xiangfei. His arm deflects the blow and Sagat takes a moment to give Xiangfei a one-eyed glare, "One minute." He spits out before turning towards the teacher. He rushes for him. After several quick strides, Sagat jumps into teh air and provides a powerful jumping kick towards the Ikari Warrior's head.

Wow, how..awful. Not only is Sagat not really taking his team seriously, but..well, with the beating he's giving the 'teacher' of the team, is it really any surprise? Cut off the head, and the body dies. There's a strategem that goes something like that, isn't there? Of course, there's another one that Ralf has become horribly familiar with: Get the fuck out the way of incoming traffic. However..Ralf isn't the quickest learner! The kick comes in toward his head, and Ralf's arm rises to meet the incoming attack, meaning to stop it and use the position for his advantage.
...Meaning a throw, you goons. That was the idea. However, Sagat's monstrous strength proves too much even for the tank of a man that Ralf is, and the guard is rendered horribly ineffective. Once more, the Ikari is toppled over, sent tumbling a few yards away from his air-striking adversary. Just..just give him a moment to gather his bearings as he struggles just to get to his knee. Jesus.
Xiangfei unghs, and she's rolling to the side as Sagat again deflects her attack, and comes to a stop by slamming her hands on the ground. She shakes her head a moment and is quickly on her feet, and obviously not taking Sagats warning, continues to persue the Muay Thai monster, "One minute to take down our teacher? Not happening!" she declares, zipping forward like 'lil lightning and wincing as another crushing blow connects with Ralf.
Judging by what's been seen so far, an attack from this guy could probably do some serious damage to her, but she wasn't going to give up.. And she most certainly wasn't going to let her teacher get punked around like this! "You're going to have to take me down first from this point on! Or are you scared of the next 'strongest woman in the world'??" Perhaps upon Sagats landing from his jumpkick, she gets in front of him to slap her hand to his stomach again, but this time she twists around and drives her elbow to the tagged spot if it connects, "KYAAAH!"
Sometimes, Sakura doesn't know her own strength. She certainly hasn't reached her full potential, but... when Cody starts to fall limp from her chokehold, she thinks aloud, "Uh-oh!" She delivers that elbow, as planned, just in case Cody's playing a joke on her. Wouldn't be unheard of, especially from his reputation! Giving him another quick shove, she dashes over towards Xiangfei, changing her target. "Okay, -now- you're my opponent," she grins -- though it's mostly kept to herself. Gotta keep the element of surprise, after all. Her bare feet allow her quick approach to be much quieter than if she were still wearing sneakers: she rockets towards Xiangfei's back , launching into a riotously fast leap, skirt flaring in her wake as she delivers a flying knee to the back of Xiangfei's head, dubbing the improvised, fast attack: "SAKURAAAAA KNEE!"

Sagat came down and felt, with satisfaction, that his leg collided with the Ikari Warrior's body. Apparently the blow was strong enough to throw off an attempt at counterattacking. By the time Sagat lands, a smirk has grown on his face. He's not getting cocky.. he's just realising that this fight is being handled quite soundly. When he lands, he turns slightly at the sound of a 'Kyah'. The 'second strongest woman in the world' manages to strike Sagat strait in the midsection. Sagat manages to tilt slightly forward under the impact... but that's about it. Sagat glares at the woman for a moment before shaking his head, "I'm taking down your teacher first... then... you." With that Sagat pulls his arms back behind him. Firey chi erupts around the big man's wrists and forearms. With a grunt Sagat shoves his arms out infront of him and allows his fists to hit one another. After the hands collide, the firey crescent of chi erupts and rockets towards Ralf.

Man, this just isn't Ralf's day. After having landed, it was a shaky move, but he eventually gets up to his feet. His head is slightly drooped, chest swelling and falling as he takes in deep breaths. Xiangfei's hit isn't lost on him, however, as he looks back toward Sagat with his left eye open, the right one having a bit of trouble staying open. Kind of hard to do so when it's starting to swell up though, isn't it?
And then..there's that familiar flash, another multi-train collision coming straight on. His legs are already a bit unwilling to comply with his desires, and..damn. That thing is moving fast! Fuck it. If he's gonna eat another of these, he's gonna do it with style! ..And no, not that Saikyo crap. This is with Ikari pride! ..Or what's left of it.
Both of Ralf's arms lift up, index fingers extended. Calling it, so to speak. Bending just slightly, he bites down on his split lip, getting himself allll good and ready. Much like that aforementioned dummy that just takes the abuse, Ralf eats the Tiger Shot RIGHT IN THE CHEST HOLY SHIT!!@!! Again, he's pushed back, but keeps himself standing until the deadly swell of chi subsides, leaving his skin feeling charred and his clothes midly discolored. But..he stands! Oh god, he stands! ..For a second, before he falls down to one knee, his fist on the ground being the only thing that keeps him up. Damn, what an animal. And, much like a wilf beast, starts off toward the mighty Muay Thai master. His boots dig into the ground as he rushes the man that has offered him so much punishment, his right fist raised back as he looses a loud, beefy yell. He aims to run PAST Sagat, where his fist is meant to collide with his gut, even as he runs..or, well, stumbles past him.

Xiangfei pulls her attacking arm out again, hands opening and then tightening into fists once more, she scowling slightly in response to Sagats words, "Dummy! You can't take him down that easily!" she calls back, glancing over her shoulder in time to cross her arms and block Sakuras flying kick, scuffling back a bit, and is ready to give Sakura a taste of her own medicine.
You remember, when Sakura totally ditched her to continue on with Cody? But before she turns around yet again, something clicks in, making her eyes widen.. A bit red in the cheeks, "Heeey, wait a minute.." she reaching to take hold of Sakuras wrist, "Now I get it! You were calling me a GIMP!" if the reach connects, she twirls around, forcing Sakura to spin with her, and abruptly drives her shoulder into the schoolgirls back!

With the attack probably sending Sakura staggering forward, Xiangfei adds insult to injury, hooking her fingers into her mouth and draws her cheeks waaaay apart while wagging her tongue, "Biida biida biiiiiii!!"
Sakura may be attacking Xiangfei, but that doesn't mean she's ignorant to the plight of poor Ralf. Especially not when Sagat rushes out after Xiangfei's attack. Wincing a bit, she focuses instead on the battle at hand -- or at least, she -thinks- she can pay attention to both at once. Her wrist caught by Xiangfei, the schoolgirl is pulled into the spin, then shoulder-checked! "Yow!" She then gets insult added to injury as Xiangfei sticks her tongue out. "Oh, come on, it took you that long to get it?" Whipping her hands out to the side, Kasugano summons forth another ball of chi -- but rather than bother with forming another verbal retort, she simply throws the quick, mushrooming blast forward at Xiangfei: "HADOOOOUKEN!"
Sagat raises his arm up a bit and deflects the blow coming from the falling Ralf. The 'teacher' has been dealt with. The living Legends turns toward the woman who was attacking him earlier. He had told her to wait and he'd deal with her in a moment. That moment has come. Oh look.. she's tangling with Sagat's 'Student'. That's not going to stop Sagat from attacking her. She didn't want to wait her turn... so Sagat will not give her the same courtesy. The Muay Thai Legend rushes forward, towards the combatants. As he runs he's shouts, "TIGER..." when he gets close Sagat unleashes a furious combo of kicks that ends with a firey sweeping kick towards the woman's midsection, "RAID!"

Xiangfei grins, and waves her hand dismissivly toward Sakura, "Details! Now that I paid you back, I've got a score to sett- Erk." The chinese warrior takes a couple of steps back, prepared to deal with the fireball, but from the corner of her eye she sees Sagat coming as well,
"OK!!!" she yells, she could probably dodge the fireball and then use the mom- "NGH!!" ok, maybe not, the ball sends her staggering back, and most unfortunatly right into Sagats combination, the crushing blows twisting her this way and that until finally she's sent reeling backward, tumbling along the ground. No person should have survived a combination like that, right?? Xiangfei lay motionless for a moment, then shakily gets to one knee, bruises already swelling up on her small frame, "H.. Ha.. Haha.." she sputters, "That's fine, unlike teacher.. I have no problem taking you both on!" Her head lowers and a sudden explosion, like a sonic boom is heard, dirt blasting upward behind the girl.
That's Li Xiangfei the Human bullet and she's screaming toward Sagat at, like, /1337/ mph, her shoulder extended, some sort of momentum has sent her rocketing forward toward his stomach, "KAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!"

Really, that Ekisupo move took a bit more out of Sakura than she would really want to let on. But... oh well. That's the way fights go! Cupping her hands by her side, Sakura starts preparing for another fast assault ... though, rather than forming a small one, she takes the time to fill this fireball with all sorts of crackling electrical goodies. And... as Xiangfei gets hammered not only by her own attack, but by Sagat's, Kasugano just raises one eyebrow. "... Ow." she winces sympathetically, her grip on the vortex of chi at her fingertips drooping slightly.
... But not a whole lot! She passes one quick glance to Sagat, calling her shot in a loud, "SHINKUUUU...." as a signal to him. He's fought Ryu enough to know what that means, and to plan accordingly -- and it's another couple seconds before Sakura has amassed enough energy to surge it forwards in one torrentious fireball: "HAAAADOOOOOOOOUKEN!"
She'll be sure to apologize to them all when next she sees them.
"Take us both on for all I care." Sagat states as he moves his arms so that they block his midsection. His massive legs brace for impact. When Xiangfei hits Sagat, he doesn't move. The mountain of a man does not move at all.. even under all the force that the 'Second Strongest Woman in the World' is exerting. Sagat eventually moves to the side to avoid any other attempts at striking him. after moving to the side, he swings his massive leg upwards and attempts to simply strike the woman with a quick knee to the torso.

Xiangfei tilts herself downward, planting her hand firmly on the ground to handspring back to her feet, her eyes widening as she smirks, "W.. Well all right th.. The- NNGh!" perhaps to no suprise the light kick connects, causing Xiang to double over, holding her stomach as she's momentarily hefted into the air. Its at this point that the pain starts to really kick in, tears trickling down her cheeks as she groans, "... Augh.." the one good thing it does though is send Sakuras Uber Fireball sailing right under her, and by some complete miracle lands on her feet in front of the huge man, slumped over and gasping desperatly for air as she attempts to slap her hand onto Sagats tummy one more time, "I.. I won't lose.." gathering all that fightin' energy in her body zooming toward said hand.

Xiangfei takes in a huff of air, and with another yell, "HYAAAAAAA!!!" releases a huge burst of energy, the force sending her staggering backward and crashing onto her rear.
Once she sees Xiangfei get pelted about -- and miraculously -evading- her ultimate fireball, Sakura seems more than a little shaken. But she's also being stirred -- into motion. For as the Chinese waitress rockets back up, Sakura's mouth gapes open in incredulity -- but Xiangfei keeps wanting to attack Sagat instead. She knows better than to get -too- close to Sagat, so instead approaches the pair, staring at Xiangfei, and waiting for an opening that won't involve copious amounts of pain. Xiangfei's still something of a friend, after all.

The Muay Thai Fighter quickly pulls his leg back after he impacts against Xiangfei. He takes a few steps back, expecting Xiangfei to fall after that last strike. It was strong and to the point. It was a knock out blow if there ever was one.... but Xiangfei looks like she wants to fight longer. She swings at him, and the huge warrior crosses his arms infront of him to block the blow. After the block, Sagat grunts, "You will lose." Sagat states to the woman, "You're just prolonging your agony." Sagat takes a few quick steps towards Xiangfei and swings a quick kick towards the woman's feet... something that he's not putting effort behind. His true attack comes in a forearm and elbow strike towards the woman's neck and shoulders area.

Xiangfei's head lowered, her arm favors her ribs. And she at one point wonders if this is really it.. She was really counting on her attack to take the big man down and it doesn't seem that it effected him at all! (.. What am I going to do? What am I going to do? I need to do -something-, I can't let him win!) The girl thinks to herself..
But she does respond to Sagats words, the waitress lifting her gaze, eyes wide and scowling, "NEVER!" feeling a sudden rush of adrenaline, she raises her arms, not falling for Sagats feint, "I won't lose to you! And I won't lose to Sakura either, you'll see!" she declares, slapping her hands togeather, and twirls around, gathering up energy again and releasing a ball of Chi, easily the size of herself at the big man, "I've got someone more important than you to defeat when this I'm done!"

Someone more important? Sakura knows who Xiangfei's talking about, but really... she'd rather be the one to take the Chinese waitress down at this point. Y'know, before Sagat gets another hold upon her. Once Xiangfei gears up for that ball of chi, Kasugano races into action, aiming for Xiangfei's back. That way, she's a lot less likely to accidentally hit Sagat. Well, once she gets -close-, she hops into the air, spinning one foot around in an attempt to clock Xiangfei twice -- first in the shoulder, and then in the head -- as she flies by. And hopefully by then, Sagat won't -need- to strike again.
Sakura shouts, "SHUNPUU KYAKU!" as she flies by. Yeah!
Sagat's single eye blinks once, as he's just mildly surprised at Xiangfei's fighting spirit. The Muay Thai Kickboxer takes a step back and holds his arms infront of himself to block the incoming fireball. The fireball collides with the big man's arms and body, Sagat effectively blocking and deflecting its more harmfull effects. The kickboxer turns his head to look towards his 'student' and sees she's about to launch an attack. Sagat backs off to let his student finish this match. Incase his student disappoints him and Xiangfei is not taken care of, he prepares to come in and finish the job.

Xiangfei may be running on adrenaline now, but she's shaking like crazy.. But despite that, she seems more focused than ever, not quite paniced, and really having no idea how she's going to pull this off.... But right now she just thinks fight, keep fighting until she wins! Before she gets another shot at Sagat though, Sakura comes racing in, and her defensive stance cant switch to the rushing girl fast enough, the kicks connect she left standing for a moment, and then crashes onto all fours again, knocked for a complete loop.
She goes on instinct now, she then springing backward, backflipping acrobaticly now to Sakura and literally throws herself at the girl to send them both crashing to the ground.

As Xiangfei comes flying towards her, Sakura nimbly hops to the side, letting Xiangfei rocket past her. But, in a rare moment of adding insult to injury, Sakura thrusts her palm forward, catching Xiangfei on the shoulder and following it to the ground -- indeed, -holding- her there. "... Xiangfei, you did great! But... just stay down, 'cuz otherwise -he's- gonna hurt you -more-." To say nothing of Ralf and Cody. Kasugano backs away afterwards, throwing up her fist with a somewhat proud smile, but keeping a concerned eye on Xiangfei. Is she gonna get back up -again?-

The Muay Thai Fighter sees the last ditch effort made by Xiangfei. His arms cross over his chest as he takes several steps backwards, "About time." Sagat utters quietly as he continues backing up to go back to the original corner that the team had occupied when the fight had begun. Obviously Sagat doesn't think their opponent will get back up.
Xiangfei doesn't let out more than a weak grunt once she crashes to the floor and is pinned there, her eyes are wide open and her expression looks almost delerious as she trembles.. And it's a good thing she's held down because she's struggling to sit up again, shaking hand lifting as she shakes her head, "No, no, I.. I can.. I can fight." she sputters, tears welling up in her eyes again and then falling down her cheeks, ".. I can win.. I can...... I..."
After a moment though, she finally gives up, her eyes clenched shut and her body going slack. She wasn't going to be getting up for a little while, this match was over, she had to accept it. And so finally she looks away from Sakura and mumbles, "... It was a good fight.. Thanks, Sakura."
Sakura smiles warmly back at Xiangfei. Part of the -hardest- part of fighting in a tournament like this is all the sore feelings that come along for the ride. As such, when she holds her fist up, to the applause of the audience, it's not just -her- victory, not just Sagat's victory, but also a culmination of all that went into it. She couldn't have gotten where she is without Ralf's help, or without Xiangfei's. She doesn't know Cody all that well, but he probably played a more indirect role. Whatever it is -- she doesn't feel the need to gloat. She just smiles with the victory, and nods back to the fallen. "Thank you, Xiangfei. Thanks, Ralf."
And then the staff announcer follows suit. "And the winners are: Sagat and Sakura!"
Sakura walks back to her corner after a moment, placid smile on her face as she approaches Sagat. No words exchanged, beyond a simple, "Congratulations!"
