Kasumoto Ichika is a student at Justice High, and dearly wishes that she wasn't. Brought into the school due to her outstanding grades, Ichika has no family legacy, no standing, no prestige, and she feels the weight of that every single day. Her mother works at a restaurant in Southtown and her father is a low-level salaryman, both extremely proud of their 'genius' daughter who constantly feels average under the weight of her more outgoing and flashy peers. With the launch of the New Fighting Generation project, Ichika took the decision to participate - buying a cheap sword from an antique shop with her allowance and hoping that if she makes a name for herself on this stage, she might become the legacy that her family can rely on in future. She has been startled to find that the world of fighting just makes sense to her. When you get past the pain, it's really just about focus, isn't it?
