Rising Star 2021 - Ristar 2021 R2 - Nena vs Tarmo

[Toggle Names]

Description: Tarmo savagely beats, crushes, defenestrates and dismembers ordinary teenage girl Nena Washington. In the meanwhile, an adorable talking cat is heartlessly punted off of bleachers, and Rafferty faints.

It's a cloudy Saturday afternoon in Southtown, but thankfully so far, there's been no signs of rain to scare away the crowd. They have been steadily arriving for the spectacle that is the Ristar contest, to see today's competitors battle it out. Tarmo, the famous Finnish bear fighter and Nena, the teen Terminator are set to face off in a match that has the whole town talking, or at least those who are fighting fans.

Amongst their number are two Pacific High school students and their cat mascot. Rafferty leads his way to a front seat on the bleachers, wiping the bench with an expensive looking embroidered handkerchief before planting his butt on it. He's dressed in a rather eyecatching ensemble for the occasion. Although the majority of his clothing is a classic plain black, his quilted cotton jacket has a picture of two large Pacific Blue palm trees depicted on its multicolored background. There's also a pair of mirrored shades covering his piercing blue eyes.

"I thought these may come in handy, incase there's any blood splatter" he explains to his female companion. "You know, with us being so close to the action."

Storm was staying in between Rafferty and Eden. As they made their was to a good place. Eden just followed Rafferty. If she had her way, she would just jump in the fight, and beat them both, but that wouldn't be nice. It would rather rude, and she knew it. But it showed in her eyes, the fire of what she really wanted to do. There was no glasses going over those eyes. Storm speaks. "Eden would want to be hit by the blood. Means the fight is really picking up you know.?" Eden nods her had grinning, she sits down. She gives less love to the bench than she gaves Rafferty's chemistry book. Or ex chemistry book anyway. For some reason he had broken with it soon after. She idly wondered what would Rafferty do if she rubbed her butt on Nena, but then there would be the problem of Nena herself if she did that. She quickly comes back to the now with Rafferty

Eden smiles at Rafferty and makes a sign appear. "I am sure Nena is going to win this. Let cheer here loud and clear if necessary, ok? Otherwise I am throwing you in the ring between both of them." She grins at him then relaxes, ready for the action.

Meanwhile, down in the ring, Ordinary Teenage Girl Nena Washington stands completely immobile at attention, the afternoon breeze fluttering the navy skirt of her sailor-style Pacific High schoolgirl uniform. Her green eyes stare glossily ahead, her entire being seeming oblivious to the crowd gathered to watch in the benches.

Up in the bleachers, an AFrican-American man wearing a brown blazer, a red scarf, and sunglasses sits down next to Rafferty - a man that the blond youth would certainly recognize as Nena's 'uncle,' Simon Washingon.

"Afternoon, son," the scientist says in a gravelly baritone before drawing in a deep, steadying breath.

Further up the bleachers, a blonde teenager and a green-haired girl wearing headphones, both in cheerleading outfits, sit conversing.

"Do you think we should have, like, brought bulletproof vests or something this time?" the blonde asks the green-haired chick.

"Why? Nena doesn't shoot bullets, and the one she's fighting is a bear, right? I mean, the bear's not gonna whip out an A-K."

"Aww, that would be so adorbs, though!" the blonde replies.

Finally, after nearly two minutes of staring dramatically (or blankly) into the aether, Nena turns around. Her eyes scan the crowd, searching...

They finally fall on Rafferty's face, honing in on him.

Nena's face remains impassive as she lifts her hands, curving her thumbs downward and curling the rest of her fingers, then presses them together -

- forming a heart between them, pointed in the direction of Rafferty, Simon, Storm, and Eden.

But mostly Rafferty.

"Got to hand it to you, son. You've got a sentient warbot makin' finger-hearts atcha. You aren't a programmer, are you?" Simon says, side-eyeing Rafferty.

The opponent wandering in, a bit belatedly, is not in fact a bear. But the mistake might be easy to make with the size of the man that appears.

Nearly seven feet of pure muscle stomps in past one of the barriers, draped into an olive-toned heavy field jacket with a fur-lined hood... and nothing underneath it, as is made evident by the vision of broad, firm chest and toned abs peeking through easily from the front of the unzipped jacket.

Of course, he probably wouldn't need to go shirtless if he wasn't wearing a winter jacket meant for colder weather than this...

"Hmmmmm?" The massive, bearded finn's voice rumbles from the other end while he stomps along closer, and closer still. Until he's just a few paces away from the Ordinary Teenaged Girl, and leaning over forward and down to bring his eyes more in level with her.

"Is fighter around here a schoolgirl? That's how it was for me last time, too...." The Finn rumbles in what might be considered surprisingly fluent english while he studies Nena with narrowed eyes for a few seconds.

But then--

"Well, the last one gave a pretty good fight though!" He declares with a sudden burst of boisterous laughter that booms through the street in a deep bass tone while he straightens upright to his full, towering height again.

A wide, toothy grin is flashed down to Nena, then.

"Will you give a good one, too?"

The object of Nena's affection starts to squirm in his designer cargo pants, when Simon takes a seat next to him. He hasn't seen the older man, since the whole robot sex scandal on social media and he hasn't even got any gifts of vintage champagne with him, to soften the blow of his actions.

"Definitely not a programmer, Sir" he responds.

"I'd be flunking Computer class, if it wasn't for Nena."

A dazzling grin appears on his handsome features, as he turns to look directly at him. "I think it must be my charm and good looks."

The heart shape formed by Nena's fingers is released after several seconds, the span of which do not see any change in the girl's expression otherwise. She turns around after a brief delay at the sound of the Finnish fighter's words. There's an almost eerie flatness to the girl's demeanour, as well as to the tone of her voice - not quite monotone, but certainly not typical of a teenage girl.

"Hello. I am Nena Washington, formerly designated as Ordinary Teenage Girl Nena Washington, currently designated as Killer Robot Girl Nena WAshington. However, please refrain from concerning yourself with your personal safety, because neither designation is technically precise."

There's a faint hissing sound as Nena raises her arms to either side, and a puff of air breezes through her uniform skirt. Her posture seems to loosen ever-so-slightly somehow as she raises her hands into a fighting stance, fingers curled but not quite in fists.

"I do not possess a metric by which to measure the quality of a battle. However, I can reveal that it is my intent to secure victory by all means necessary within the governing regulations of the tournament. Also, I am a robot."

"... Killer Robot."

The enormous finn blinks his eyes slowly down at this particular designation while she readies herself to a fighting stance.

"That's... definitely new, I'll say that much. Well, I guess that's fine..."

His hiking boot -clad foot stomps down against the ground with a heavy boom of a soudn sent echoing out through the street while he turns himself to a more prepared stance too -- arms spread wide, fingers curled like mimicing the clawed paws of a bear.

"Means I don't gotta feel all that guilty then, don't it!"

His other foot stomps forward without hesitation, with enough weight behind it to form cracks on the asphalt below, while the opposing foot is brought swinging up, high. Aimed for the robot girl's chin to begin with, but once his foot has been brought high above her, it comes right back down again -- intending to all but stamp her right down on the street underneath the boot.

COMBATSYS: Tarmo has started a fight here.

The asphalt cracks, and then Tarmo's foot swings up - crashing into Nena's chin with powerful force.

And while the natural reaction of a teenage girl to being kicked in the chin is to fall down and perhaps to cry, Nena shows no intent of either - it takes the foot descending on her chest to drive her down to the pavement. The ground cracks again beneath her.

Nena, for her part, appears to be relatively unharmed - though there's definitely some bruising already starting to form around her jaw. Curious - robots don't typically bruise easily, do they?

"I cannot provide a moralistic for your guilt, or lack thereof," Nena says as she's pressed into the asphalt. "However, your lack of empathy is noted. I will also disable my guilt functions."

With that, blue rocket boosters hidden in the soles of the schoolgirl's white boots engage, and she flies out from under Tarmo with the assistance of their propulsion to land upright several feet away.

"Activating retaliatory measures," Nena announces to her opponent before boosting back toward him. As she nears, her right leg extends - and then, independent of her upper body, her lower half spins violently forward, a whirling rocket-powered barrage of superheated kicks unleashing as her bottom half delivers a deadly pirouette and her upper half remains focused forward on the Finn.

Most people usually at least try to avoid a heavy impact like that. And Nena more or less just... taking it leaves him staring down at her with equal measures surprise and confusion. "WHat are you...?" He mumbles while his boot shifts along the girl--

Right on tiem for her to bust up to freedom from underneath his boot with her rocket-boosters. Another surprised growl comes from his throat. The sheer shock from the unexpected maneuver is enough to leave the man completely open before her--

And to be subjected to the barrage of blows from her lower body spinning around so rapidly, independent of her upper body. Kick after heated kick whacks into him, pummeling the side of his torso and head alike.

"Ghhhrrr-- alright!"

While the Finn is taking those kicks, however, he's winding his right arm back and low. Launching it in for Nena herself right after in a furious uppercut with enough strength behind it that even if she braces against it, she'll get launched up into the air.

BUt rather than being content with just the uppercut, the Finn would leap up into the air after her. High enough to catch on from above her, and let gravity alone spike her down to the street underneath him when they inevitably come down all over again.

One thing perhaps begins to become evident as Tarmo winds up that massive right arm and drills it toward Nena's person:

She has little to no sense of self-preservation.

It takes a tremendous amount of force to lift the 'former ordinary teenage girl' off of her platform boots, and a tremendous amount of force is exactly what Tarmo provides. She may not go flying quite as hard as what might be expected given her size - particularly because she weighs at least three times as much as she appears - but she is taken off of her feet, and the massive Finn catches hold of her, crashing down to land on top of her with another earth-shuddering impact.

In the stands, Simon grimaces faintly.

Gazing up at Tarmo above her, Nena remains expressionless as her right arm stretches out above her head.

"Engaging extraction measures."

With a puff, her right hand shoots away from her wrist - a sight that may prove somewhat unnerving for anyone who hasn't crossed the Uncanny Valley with Nena before - propelled by rocket jets to latch onto the barricade several meters away. Then, with a whirring sound, a narrow metal cable tethering the hand to Nena's forearm starts to retract, pulling the schoolgirl out from beneath Tarmo.

By the time that her wrist clicks back into place, repositioning her next to the barricade, the back of the schoolgirl's shirt is covered in tiny scratches and dirt from getting dragged violently across the rough asphalt. Nevertheless, she rises up to her feet stoically - showing no signs of pain in spite of the rough treatment that she's already endured.

There seems to be a faint red glow behind Nena's left eye as she focuses her gaze on Tarmo - though the purpose is not evident.

Whatever she's up to, it seems to give a moment's opportunity to the Finnish powerhouse...

COMBATSYS: Nena calculates her next move.

It's one thing after the other. Tarmo actually ends up flipped over when her... grappling hook hand... yanks her out from underneath him. He ends up onto his side with a rapid blink of the eyes before lifting himself up to one knee to just stare at the... not so ordinary high school girl.

"...Man, that's just *weird*."

Despite what could potentially be considered a warning sign in the form of the red glow in Nena's eye, he leaps himself up to motion then-- charging across the street after the Robot Girl, with just one hand reaching out for her.

Not to strike her, but to grab her by the arm.

Heavy as she might be - being a robot and all - if he does manage to grab hold of her, she'll find him still hoisting her up all too effortlessly into the air, just to throw her right back down to the ground again, like she was some toy he was getting frustrated with.

COMBATSYS: Nena interrupts Medium Throw from Tarmo with Weird Science.

Tarmo            1/-----==/=======|======-\-------\0             Nena

Tarmo's mighty hand curls around Nena's left wrist, and pulls... with much less resistance than he may have expected - as the hand in question simply pops off in his mighty mitt, leaving only the yawning steel-lined stump of the girl's forearm behind.

The interior of which is already glowing with crackling blue energy.

The cannon behind the schoolgirl's wrist discharges like a shotgun of concussive energy wreathed with electricity, blasting straight into the Finn from point blank range.

As the energy washes over Tarmo, the girl's hand pulls itself loose and starts to crawl along the asphalt like a spider. Nena crouches down as it approaches, extending her left wrist out to receive it as the hand turns around to walk the last few inches backward before clicking itself into place.

As Nena rises back to her feet, her fingers wiggle while she secures her left hand to her wrist using her right.

"I am having difficulty discerning the reference of your statement. I do not consider my behaviour to be weird. I am, after all, a robot," she says as she turns her eyes back on Tarmo stoically.

Tarmo's massive hand yanks and pulls, and...

...ONLY the hand comes with him?

With a visibly disturbed expression, he stares at the appendage left in his grip, before glancing back to Nena and--

"...Voi helvetti."

The literal handcannon fires and sends even Tarmo's massive bulk flying back with a yell of pain, landing onto his back a few feet away with a loud *THUD*.

"Agh...!" Steam vapors waft up from the massive man's chest where he was hit, and the effort of pushing himself up with his knees is one that in itself brings a loud groan from him, too. "...I guess... hrrrgh... It'd be useless to explain to you..." He grumbles, before forcefully pushing himself up the rest of the way.

And without any hesitation, he's off into a run all over again. Leaping up into the air, this time -- casting a shadow over Nena with his figure while both his enormous paws reach for her shoulders. Using himself effectively as a projectile falling down over her and pulling her along to slam into the curb.

COMBATSYS: Nena fails to interrupt Pommitus from Tarmo with Real Steel.

Tarmo            1/-----==/=======|=======\-------\0             Nena

The shadow of Tarmo dwarfs the mechanical schoolgirl as he descends toward her.

Nena's right hand swings upward, her fingers wrapping into a fist as her eyes lock onto the falling Finn. A humming sound fills the air as crackles of electricity dance around her extended hand, and a hiss of air escapes from her feet as rocket boosters ignite.

And then, a split second before the thrusters can properly engage, the massive bear-wrestler lands atop her full force. The heavy metal teen is pulled along and slammed into the ground with a loud metallic *THUNK* before tumbling onward to roll along the asphalt.

For a long moment, she just lies there in a heap, looking utterly stunned - actually, that blank look is pretty much the same one that she always has.

"Damage suffered is mini-"

A jet of red steam suddenly starts to spray from a gash torn in the robot's back, cutting her off.

"Updating; moderate damage suffered," she says as the pink mist starts to run white, before pushing up to her feet with a metallic sound of hydraulics protesting.

The landing from the Finn is another earth-shaking one, but this time, he's quick to roll over and get up onto his feet again. The sight of red steam spilling from within the robot-girl does draw a bit of a wince -- if only because at first glance it's so similiar to blood.

But it's still a fight he's in to win.

"Let's see if it stays just 'moderate', you pile of junk!" THe Bear-Finn growls out as he stomps himself up to his feet in time with her own rising up. Shuffling right past her, then, before turning around in a quick spin that sees his hefty boot rising up again-- and getting thrust at the back of the girl's knee. He's not entirely sure of how to properly get past the durability of her chassis, but maybe a joint point like that will let him buckle her over, at least?

COMBATSYS: Tarmo successfully hits Nena with Light Kick.

The steam is still spraying from the rend in Nena's back and uniform shirt as Tarmo approaches. She has a slightly lost look about her - though, the same can often be said - and her eyes turn to where Simon is sitting in the crowd, searching, moments before the massive foot slams into the back of her knee, driving her down to a kneeling position, her hands stretching out to roughly arrest her fall. There seems to be a little more vulnerability in the back of that joint, at least - and the front of the knee, as she turns around and scoots back on her robotic rear end, is pretty badly scraped - and bleeding.

That is almost definitely blood.

"Structural damage increased," she says as she plants both hands and pushes herself back up and onto her feet. She takes a couple of steps back.

"Rerouting hydraulics. Calibrating motivating systems," the girl says lightly. "Dermal damage cannot be mitigated. Recommended treatment: Band-Aid."

As she speaks, she straightens, and the steam that's rushing out of her back dissipates and goes quiet as she tilts her head left and right, neck popping with a metallic sound both times.

COMBATSYS: Nena recalibrates her systems.

Tarmo's eyes draw over to the vision of red left behind, arching one thick brow upwards. "Guess you're not entirely robot afterall, are you?"

This new revelation doesn't seem to be enough to encourage the bearish finn to relenting, however. Even while she's pushing herself up, the shadow of the towering figure advances on her, heralded by heavy footfalls that chase after her with her retreat.

A retreat that he aims to stop with a quick thrust of his arm, aiming his open hand - easily larger than her own head - straight for her face. Not to strike, but to grab on, wrapping enormous fingers about her face and skull.

"You think I'm gonna give you time for that?!"

Given the hold is secured, he puts his entire weight further forward, to leverage her over and back -- to slam the back of her head right into the unforgiving surface of the curb below.

COMBATSYS: Tarmo dazes Nena with Hakkaa Paalle!

Tarmo            0/-------/-------|=======\=====--\1             Nena

As if introducing Nena's head to the pavement wasn't enough, the instant it does collide on the ground with earth-shattering force, he lets go -- and reaches lower when he pulls himself back.

Before the recoil of her body off the ground is even fully finished, the powerful grip of his hand finds purchase around her ankle, sweeping her up off the ground and swinging her whole body above his head--

And down again.

Swinging her over his head and down to the ground over and over again like the heavy robot girl was little more than a ragdoll, until he eventually relents by letting go of her on one upswing that sends her into the air.

But even then he's not done. His arm rears back, and his eyes keep tracking her when she falls back down, and one stomp forward sends that arm swinging into her back in a vicious clothesline.

Standing her ground as the giant Finn bears down on her appears a disastrous decision on the moderately-to-entirely artificial girl's part; her head is driven into the pavement, jolting it hard enough to cause it to rattle. From there, it's a quick trip into Slam City - the schoolgirl is pounded into the pavement over and over, back and forth. Her left hand goes flying loose from its socket, clattering across the ground noisily. She's launched, and finally clotheslined in the back, driving her back into the ground.

There's a plaintive groaning of metal from the steel schoolgirl's spine as she lifts her upper body off of the pavement. She stumbles, zombie-like, as blood trickles from the torn skin along her arms and body and the left side of her face. Metal peeks out in places beneath her ruptured skin.

"Structural d-damage: error; diagnostics... o-offline. Reloading," Nena stammers mechanically, her normally precise diction interrupted by what seem to be occasional vocal spasms. She turns around to face Tarmo, her head lolling partially to the side.

"Engaging emergency combat protocols," she states coolly.

"Oh, no," Simon says from the sidelines as he overhears the schoolgirl's words. He pushes himself up to his feet. "Nena! Wait!"

It's too late, it seems - the rocket boosters in Nena's boots sputter to life, propelling her up several feet into the air to hover unsteadily as the skin on her shoulders starts to slide open, the shoulder seams of her shirt parting simultaneously. Gaping round holes appear, though not visible to those below - but within seconds, the existence and purpose of the gaps in her frame are revealed.

One after another, projectiles shoot up from either of her shoulders, trailing plumes of white smoke as they rocket up into the air - eight, all told. It seems like little more than a pyrotechnic display - until the miniature missiles come whistling back down to earth, adjusting their courses to home in on their rather large target.

The homing missiles, whether they crash into Tarmo or other elements of the environment, will explode, as missiles are wont to do - a series of eight bursts of sound, light and concussive force.

COMBATSYS: Tarmo blocks Nena's WarGames.

As Simon gets to his feet, Rafferty follows suit, waving his hands around helplessly. Until now, the young model has been watching the fight in stunned silence, his mirrored shades hiding the extent of the emotion he's been feeling.

"Simon, what's happening? You say oh no now, but how much worse can things get?"

There's more than a hint of panic obvious in his usually calm California voice and he starts to tug on the other man's sleeve.

Before Simon has a chance to answer, Rafferty can see for himself. As he watches his bruised, battered and bloody girlfriend start to literally come apart in front of him, it's all too much and he lets out a loud scream, before fainting and collapsing to the ground.

He's out cold, before he even gets to view the full glory of the festival of light and sound!

A sign appears beside Eden's head. "What the hell is happening? Nena is getting her ass handed to her, and getting destroyed, she looks hurt." Eden stands up, and looks like she wants to go in the fight, but Storm actually bites in the lower back, to stop her, his fangs actually in the skin. He's going to pay for that later and he knows it, but for now it stops Eden from going there

But then she turns to grab Simon. Another sign replaces the precious one, this one for Simon speficically, while Rafferty is unconscious like a girl meeting her celebrity crush in real life. "Whatever happens in this fight, even if she goes into a thousand pieces, you're going to fix her, and let her be the same ordinary teenage girl she has always been, or someone is going to pay for this."

Then finally, she takes care of Storm, she grabs it by the neck, making sure he releases her, and brings him in front, to look in his eyes. Storm really knew he was trouble now. There was now sign beside her head, but she punts it with a kick, that would have made a football coach proud, if it actually had been a football game, but it was just a poor cat, flying through the air, screaming like Rafferty and hoping he would fall back on his feet and on something soft, whenever he landed.

Then all the "explosions' happens, and Eden looks quite cheerful again, like nothing happened.

Tarmo straightens out, slowly, after clotheslining the falling girl, and slowly stretches his neck with a tilt of his head to one side, and then the other.

...And yet, even after all that, Nena's getting up.

"...Sheesh, you're real sturdy too, ain'tcha?" The Finn rumbles. He might feel a *little* sorry, seeing the state she is in... but evne then, he makes for a charge for her with the intention to finish the job.

But she blasts off in the air right away from his reaching hands. "What the--?!"

Head rearing back to look up after her flight with widened eyes while feet slowly shuffle him backwards... and this eyes widen even further when the missile barrage is launched.

With a wince, the Finn makes a quick turn to *run*. Because why wouldn't you run away from rockets?! It takes him only a second or so to realize, however, that they are in fact tracking him. He's going to have to think of something else.

And coming upon the shattered portion of the street where he'd just used the robot as a sledgehammer, he ducks down, and-- lifts a large chunk of the broken street itself, holding it up as a makeshift shield for himself.

The missiles collide with the piece of debris, quickly evaporating it and leaving the street covered in smoke for a good moment. Once the comfortable spring breeze starts blowing it away, Tarmo's figure becomes clear again--

WIth his jacket all torn up, and burns left along his arms.

"...Ggghhh I *just* had this thing replaced..." He complains, sourly.

With a deep frown, his eyes peer through the smoke to track down Nena again. And upon finding her, he leaps up the instant she gets closer to the ground. Hands grabbing for her by shoulder and hip -- and pulling her down along with himself down not to the ground this time, but towards his propped-out knee. Is... is he trying to snap her over his knee?!

As she's descending from the air, the jump jets in her heels fizzling out, Nena is suddenly swept out of the air and brought crashing down against Tarmo's knee. There's an audible, horrible sound of -something- cracking, or bending, or breaking - it's hard to tell just how extensive the damage is from the outside, even as the schoolgirl shudders, her left arm going limp.

Simon can't help but look away from the brutality against his 'niece.'

"They can get - about that much worse, son," he informs the unconscious blond youth next to him. Eden gets a tight-lipped, but otherwise blank look behind Simon's sunglasses.

"Ugh! She so does shoot stuff!" the blonde cheerleader at the top of the bleachers complains to the green-haired one.

"Well, yeah! She didn't use that attack last time, though!" the green-haired one retorts.

Meanwhile, Nena starts to stir and twitch.

"Rerouting power..."

There's a hum from inside the electric teenager as her green irises turn to focus up on Tarmo's face. It appears as though she's engaged in similar diagnostics to before.

"Please ac-ac-accept my apologies."

That hum in the robot girl's core seems to be growing ever louder - but she's not moving, yet. The officials seem to be debating over whether to declare the warbot unfit to continue somewhere in the background.

COMBATSYS: Nena recalibrates her systems.

Tarmo's hands give a good shove into the warbot after snapping her back against his knee, to get her rolling off and onto the ground before he stands fully upright again. After everything, with burns along his body and all, he's left panting audibly, heavily. Beating on something made of significantly harder materials than a human body takes a lot out of you, it turns out.

And yet, Nena's still down there, running diagnostics on herself. And the finn just looks down at her, while he lifts his foot up, cruelly, aiming it right above her.

But instead of stomping his boot down upon her, he pauses. As if to actually reconsider.

And indeed, his foot is lowered back down, instead of being used as a coup-de-grace on the battered high school robot.

"Isn't that enough? THink what you will, but I don't actually want to break you beyond repair."

COMBATSYS: Tarmo takes no action.

The blood-soaked brunette schoolgirl's green eyes remain locked on Tarmo's.

"I estimate the odds of you damaging me beyond repair as minimal. However, if you destroy this form, my central data core can be harvested. While this body may be rendered nonfunctional, I would, in theory, be able to continue my existence as the managing entity of a web domain, a defense system, or a toaster."

As she speaks, Nena clambers and clunks and finally forces herself up to her feet. Her upper body seems to now be locked in place at a slightly off angle relative to her lower body, and her neck remains seemingly incapable of supporting her head completely. Her left hand is also still conspicuously missing. However, she remains focused on Tarmo, that humming pulse still emanating from her middle.

"I do not fear the destruction of this body, as many possibilities await for a continued existence. Shall we conclude this battle?"

"That right?"

Tarmo's head tilts slightly to one side while he watches Nena work herself up to her feet. Brows still furrowed, but the hesitation is starting to fade away, now.

"It's decided then, isn't it?"

He sweeps one foot back with that, knee bending while he leans his weight down like an olympic sprinter preparing for the 'go' signal.

"Let's make it a good one then! Give me all you've got!!"

And with that declaration made, the hulking finn launches himself froward. Charging himself right into Nena, with both arms going wrapping around her. If he'll secure hold, he'll pull her into a wild, spinning swing that works to gather up more and more momentum for the eventual release that would send her body flying at terminal velocities towards the wall of a nearby building.

Hope they have insurance.

COMBATSYS: Nena fails to interrupt Moukariheitto from Tarmo with Judgment Day.

Tarmo            0/-------/----===|====---\-------\0             Nena

As Tarmo bears down on her, a blue glow starts to emanate from Nena's core, where the upper body connects to the lower body. Her clothing blows with the hot breeze of ventilated air from within.

The Finn is faster than the final phase of whatever she's about to unleash, though - latching on and spinning the humming, glowing schoolgirl around before heaving her toward the nearby BattleBank insurance division building She smashes straight through the concrete wall between two giant windows, sending debris scattering everywhere.

A second later, there's a brilliant blue flash inside the building that blows both of those glass windows into smithereens scattered across the sidewalk.

"I shoulda brought a dust pan," Simon remarks morosely as he gazes at the carnage from behind his sunglasses as insurance forms scatter freely on the wind away from the gaping hole.

Tarmo keeps spinning a few more revolution's worth even after Nena has been sent flying. IN fact, he straight up needs to stomp his foot down onto the groudn to stop his momentum before he risks getting dizzied by it all.

"W-whoa..." Maybe he didn't actually expect to throw the robot *through* the wall, or maybe the sound is just an after-effect of his own spin. Either way, he does end up staring at the building as it's interiors are lit up.

"...Is she still working...?" He finds himself wondering out loud through panting breaths. His feet feel unsteady. He's pushing himself way more than he expected to, with this fight.

He can't see his opponent, and he doesn't seem to be too eager to chase after her, either. Instead, he keeps his eyes on the hole left behind by her flight, feet slowly shuffling to keep himself in motion in case he has to make a sudden leap somewhere.

COMBATSYS: Tarmo focuses on his next action.

It's hard to hear what's going on in the cloud of dust and smoke billowing from the bank wall - well, other than the panicked screaming and the relentless high-pitched hammering of an emergency alarm. After a couple of seconds, though, a second explosion of shattering glass comes - as one of the second floor windows directly above the Nena-shaped hole in the first floor of the building is obliterated by the emerging shape of a brutally-battered schoolgirl.

"Apologies. For any concerns regarding 'collateral damage,' please contact - redacted," the bloodied brunette helpfully informs the inhabitants of the insurance building.

Nena's jump jets are active, puttering plumes of steam and smoke following in her wake as she ejects herself from the establishment. Once she hits what seems to be the apex of her ascending arc, though, the boosters spark out, and she extends one leg in front of her - descending toward Tarmo with a somewhat clumsy but potentially powerful falling sidekick.

COMBATSYS: Nena successfully hits Tarmo with Diving Kick.

"Wh-- how did you even get up the-"

Tarmo's questioning is cut short by the realization that Nena is still, in fact, coming for *him*. But it's too late for that realization, unfortunately. By then the rocketboosters in the robot's body are already directing her for him, and her foot slips right in between the two thick arms he was bringing up to shield himself, bringing the foot colliding right against his face.

Skidding back subtly from the kick, his eyes roll upwards briefly from the sudden jolt of pain-- only to guide his weight forcefully forward again. And once again, one of his massive, dangerously strong hands are reaching out for her while she's still in the air, to grab on and forcefully slam her down into the curb with him before she can get a chance to make a controlled landing of her own.

The Finnish fighter's massive mitts curl around Nena's hips as she's falling, capturing her between them. As he's preparing to smash her down to the pavement, though, her upper body whips around violently, her right elbow crooking to a point as she rears it back before her torso twists back around, driving it into Tarmo's nose. While he's still suffering from the effects of the sudden shot to the schnoz, she spins in reverse - pivoting three hundred and sixty degrees at the torso, her left arm extending rigidly and sparking with electrical power before delivering Real Karate Chop Action (minus the hand - so, really more of a forearm smash) to the back of Tarmo's neck as she defies conventional human anatomy.

She still winds up slammed against the ground, but the force is deadened somewhat by the blows she's delivered to Tarmo already - and she's still stirring on the impacted asphalt as her previously-dislodged hand crawls across the lot like a tarantula toward her.

"Ewww! Where'd that spider come frome?!" the blonde cheerleader on the upper benches shouts as she spots it, shuddering and recoiling with her hands balled to fists either side of her chest.

"Th-that's not a spider!" the green-haired cheerleader beside her shouts back, mimicking the gesture as a queasy look crosses her features.

Oh. He forgot about her being able to spin half of her body around like that

The ha- er, forearm-chop strikes right into Tarmo's neck, and even with the considerable muscle to be foudn there too, it's just at the right angle that his breathing is disrupted. His hands release the highschooler instinctively, and his already-wobbling body starts to fall.

And on his way down, the last defiant effort he makes is one of his hand curling into a fist and rising high up -- just in the hopes that he might manage to swing it down in a high punch into Nena before he blacks out completely.

And slams onto the asphalt with a thundering *THUD*.

COMBATSYS: Tarmo can no longer fight.

The meaty fist of the Finn smashes into Nena's chest as she hits the ground in a seated position. She wobbles for a moment from the impact, but remains seated upright - dampened as the blow is, and having hit her in one of her most well-cushioned points, it seems that the virtual girl is virtually unaffected. She stares straight ahead stoically as her arms drop limply at her sides.

"Warning: risk of core breach. Engaging emergency shutdooowww..."

The pitch of the girl's voice slides slowly downward as her upper body tips stiffly backward before smacking solidly against the asphalt.

"Well, that was a hell of a shitshow," Simon remarks dryly as Nena's dismembered hand starts to turn to and fro, spinning around directionlessly in the absence of a signal from its owner, "but not near as bad as cleanin' up the girl's mess is gonna be. You awake yet, son?"

The scientist turns his head to look down at the previously fainted form of Rafferty questioningly.

COMBATSYS: Nena takes no action.

COMBATSYS: Nena has suffered catastrophic damage and fallen offline.

As the battle reaches its chaotic conclusion, Rafferty stirs from his stress induced slumber. His long, dark eyelashes flutter open and his first instinct is to bring his hands up to his face, checking for any damage that may have been inflicted by his attack of the vapours.

"You're alright, honey, there's no harm done" a kindly looking female medic says, in a bid to comfort him. She, or some other considerate soul, has placed a cushion underneath the teen's blond head, to protect it from the hard ground beneath him.

"You might have some bruising tomorrow, but it will soon heal."

"Bruising?" the blond boy bellows, causing the woman to flinch.

"I can't have a bruised face! I'm a model."

Screwing his still pretty face up in frustration, he lets out a dramatic sigh, whilst a single tear rolls down his chiseled cheekbone.

The medic decides to leave him to it, trusting him into the care of Simon. She's not even here to look after the fans technically, she's on duty to deliver emergency care to the fighters, should it be needed.

Slowly sitting up, Rafferty's gaze shifts over to where Nena and Tarmo are collapsed in the street.

"Did she win?" he asks Eden hopefully.

Eden hears the question from Rafferty, and stands up. A sign appears over her head for him. "She better, or the referee gets it." She actually pulls the seat off where it's suppose to be attached, and lifts it over her head. It actually look like she will throw it at the referee if she is displeased.

As a paramedic and a stage technician argue over which one of them should be attending to Nena, the official ruling is announced by an officiating official.

"The winner is... NENA WASHINGTON!"

A controversial decision, to be sure, as both fighters seem out of commission. Perhaps it's the fact that the lone hand of the schoolgirl remains nominally functional that influences the decision. As it wanders aimlessly, it ends up creeping into a bush, where it bumps into a terrified white cat.
